When Chris and Elliot got home, Lea and I were outside. I was showing her where my garden was going to be, and she asked if she could help me plant this weekend.

"Is that your husband?" Lea asked as I helped her brush the dirt from her knees. She had seen a bird run under one of the bushes in the backyard, and she had knelt down on the ground to try and see it.

"Yeah. He'll be yelling at me to help him unload because if I don't, he'll try and grab all of the bags all at once." I smiled, as she giggled a bit.

"My Daddy does that too." She spoke, as she grabbed my hand as we headed toward the gate.

"Mommy! Come help be-"

"We are here, Chrissy." I smiled, as I came around the corner. My son came sprinting towards me but stopped when he saw Lea next to me. He tilted his head to the side and eyed her.

"Who are you?" He asked, and Elliot smiled as he walked towards us.

"I'm Lea." The small girl questioned, and Chris just looked even more confused.

"But why are you holding my Mommy's hand?" He questioned.

"Christopher, Lea is staying with us for a while. She's your foster sister until her Mommy and Daddy can get her back."

"Oh," Christopher spoke before he grabbed her hand and pulled her away from me.

"Mommy, we are going to play!"

[*]

The whole first night, it was so very hard to get Christopher and Lea to stop playing. Christopher needed a bath, and he had to do his homework, but he just didn't want to stop.

"Christopher Stabler!" I yelled, from where I sat in the living room. I could hear him and Lea still laughing from upstairs.

"Want me to go get him?" Elliot asked as he walked out of the kitchen, as he flipped his towel over his shoulder.

"Yeah. I can try and get Lea to help me do something. Like, bake something maybe?" I spoke, and Elliot gave me a gentle smile.

"You take care of our kid, and Lea and I can whip up a batch of those oatmeal cookies that you like." Elliot smiled. I laughed softly, before nodding.

"Just don't burn them this time, okay?"

Once Elliot went upstairs and came back down, he sat our son on my lap, he took Lea into the kitchen.

"Mommy, can't I help Daddy?" Chris asked, and I shook my head.

"No, sweetie. You and I are going to work on your homework. Once you are done, then you need a bath."

"But I wanna go back and play!" He huffed, as I handed him a pencil, before helping him to his feet.

"I know, but we have to do this Chris. You will have probably all weekend to play."

"Mommy, I don't wanna!" He yelled, as he tossed his pencil at me and went running into the kitchen.

I stood up and quickly ran after him.

"Christopher Nathaniel Benson-Stabler, I swear." I huffed, and Elliot looked up as our son hugged his legs.

"What's happening?" Elliot asked, and I sighed.

"He won't do his homework." I frowned, and Elliot eyed me. We hated to punish our kid, but we didn't want to be those parents who let their kid do everything.

"Christopher, go do your homework. If not, you are going to be in time out. Want to not play with Lea for the rest of the night?" Elliot spoke, and Christopher started to throw a fit.

He started to open and slam cabinet doors, and he started to hit Elliot, and then myself. I wrapped my arms around his body, and until he stopped hitting me that is how it stayed.

"Mommy, let me go!" Christopher screamed, and I shook my head.

"No. You are going to time out for the rest of the night. The only thing you will do is your homework, and I'll watch to make sure."

[*]

Christopher was an absolute brat the whole night. I had to take the toys from his room and lock them in my closet because he wouldn't stop running off to play with them. He refused to take a bath, and then at bedtime, he just screamed and told us how much he hated us. I never did think my sweet little Chrissy would be such a giant brat.

"I think he's finally asleep," I whispered, from where Elliot and I sat outside of Christopher's door, so he couldn't escape and run around all night just to anger us.

"Doesn't make you want to have more kids, huh?" Elliot asked, and I nodded.

"Yeah, not really." I sighed, as I leaned my head against his shoulder.

"He's only 4. It's just him trying to give us his terrible twos, just later." He huffed. I nodded as I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers together. I looked down at our hands, before looking back at him.

"Honestly, I still do kinda wanna see what tiny human we can make together." I breathed, and Elliot smiled.

"It'll be adorable. And hopefully, their big brother gets over this problem before it is even conceived."

"Hopefully. I'm gonna go check on him real quick, and then let's go to bed."

Elliot stood and helped me to my feet, before kissing me several times. He walked down the hall and to our room, while I slowly opened Christopher's door.

My son had finally fallen asleep in the middle of the floor, on his large fluffy rug. I walked over to him and slowly picked him up, before cuddling him close.

"Mommy?" He yawned, and I sighed softly as I kissed his hair gently.

"Go back to sleep, sweetie."

"I'm sorry, Mommy." He spoke, as I laid him on his bed.

"I forgive you, but don't let that happen again, alright?"

"Alright.... can I get my toys back tomorrow?" He questioned, and I shrugged.

"We gotta see if you can do what we ask, okay? Get some sleep, and I'll wake you up earlier tomorrow for a bath."

"Okay. I love you, Mommy."

"I love you too, Christopher."
