The morning sun was already hanging in the sky when he arrived at her house; the warm sunlight illuminating the window of her bedroom like a halo.

"Oh. You're here."

"Yep!" Alysha chimed, sitting cross-legged behind Nyx on the bed, braiding her sister's hair in a complex design.

"Play nice." Nyx chuckled, rolling her eyes. She patted a space on the mattress besides her, gesturing him over. "Come, talk to me."

He crossed to them, pecking her semi-possessively on the lips as he sat down. Nyx glowed in satisfaction; whilst Alysha pulled a face.

Nyx laughed at her sister's expression. "Oh, I'm sorry. Not PG enough for you?"

Alysha stuck out her tongue.

"Wind changes, you'll stay like that." Nyx teased, making Alysha crack up into giggles.

"You seem happy." He noted.

Nyx turned her attention back to him. "Should I not be happy then?" She said with a blithe smile.

Her cheer was contagious, and he gave in; breaking from his momentarily suspicious expression into a smile. "No, not that at all. You just seem in an exceptionally good mood today, that's all."

"It's because she's been with me." Alysha said smugly.

"Doing what?" He said, eyes narrowing.

"Oh, you know, things." Alysha shrugged. "She had an odd moment earlier, and needed some sister time."

"An 'odd moment'?" He queried.

"It was nothing." Alysha said, just as at the same time Nyx said, "I fainted."

"You fainted?" He exclaimed, looking concerned.

Nyx shrank back a little, flushing in embarrassment. "Only a little bit. For like, two seconds."

His eyes flicked to Alysha. "Why are you always involved?"

"Why do you always accuse me?" Alysha said, feigning an offended look.

"Because whenever something happens, you're in the middle of it."

"Only because I need to be. You're the one butting in where he's not invited."

"I'll butt your heads together if you don't cool it." Nyx said, pressing her lips together in an expression of exasperation.

Alysha stretched her arms above her head with groan, before uncrossing her legs to relax them across the mattress. "Alright. Guess it's my turn to graciously leave the two of you to have your time." She said, as she slunk off the edge of the bed.
"Behave now, children. Don't have too much fun." She gave a little wave, as she sauntered towards the full-length mirror on the wall; stepping through the reflection and walking out of frame.

"Well," Nyx chuckled, leaning back against him. "What do we do now?"

She shrieked in surprise as he grabbed her; pushing her onto her back as he rolled on top of her, capturing her mouth in his own.

She laughed joyously as he drew back; breathing heavily as he pinned her to the bed. Grinning mischievously, he moved to lay besides her, playing lazily with her hair. "So... How about for the day, you come to my house?"

"You have a house?" She sounded pleasantly surprised.

"Yes, I have a house." He said, like it was obvious. "Where did you think I was staying?"

"Alright, I see your point." Nyx chuckled. "Look at you, with your house and your job..."

"Declan's been busy putting the bar back together."

"Ooh, yeah, I saw what had happened." Nyx winced in sympathy. "Awful, that was. I wonder who could have done it?"

He shrugged nonchalantly. "Declan's made quite a few enemies in his lifetime, no doubt."

"True." Nyx nodded. "He does get involved with some strange stuff."

"Me included?" He teased.

Nyx laughed, tipping back her head against the pillows. "Alright, let me get ready and then we can go to your place." Swinging her legs over the side, she stood up, stretching out the cricks before crossing over to the wardrobe.

Smiling to himself, he sat up; sitting cross-legged on the bed with an attentative look on his face.

Nyx turned back to him, looking confused. Then the penny dropped. "I'm not getting undressed in front of you."

He pouted playfully. "Aw, come on."

"No." She giggled, blushing bright red. "You've not earnt that privelige yet."

He quirked an eyebrow. "Yet?"

Laughing, she strode over and tugged on his arm, pulling him up onto his feet and steering him towards the door. He caught her around the waist, spinning her into him to kiss her languorously before pulling away to look into her eyes; fingers playing mindlessly with the collar of her night clothes. "What about now? Can I stay now?"

"Still a no."

"Fine..." He conceded, smirking slightly at how pleasantly flustered she'd become. "I'll wait outside."

"Yes, you will. And you will behave." She told him, attempting to sound firm but he could see her wavering behind the mask. Resolutely, she closed the door.

Chuckling quietly to himself, he crossed his arms and leaned back against the door.

The creak of a footstep on the stairs made him look up. "I got kicked out of her room whilst she got changed."

"Did you now?" Nick said dryly.

"So, you got a car as well?"

"Yes."

"Wow, Dec must pay good." Nyx muttered, as he helped her out of the vehicle. "To get all this so quickly."

"We have an understanding." He said simply, a meaningful glint in his eye. "Apparently I'm a commodity."

Hoping down onto the ground, she put her arms around his neck, pecking a kiss on the corner of his mouth before slipping her hand in his as they turned towards the house.

"Come on then, show me around."
