Y/N's POV, April 25th 1994
It has been two weeks since the first show of this tour and we were at six shows, tonight being that sixth show. As the shows have gone on the turn out at said shows haven't been any better, they've varied a little, the last show the guys did they had just over half an arena sold and more than half the floor full of standing people which was a new record for the amount of people at a show for this tour.
However, this show tonight? It was back to being probably four thousand people in a place which could hold more four or five times that at capacity. It was embarrassing. Mötley Crüe we're kings last time they were on the road but now, they weren't holding that status anymore.
After the guys had gone on stage this evening, I'd told Nikki I'd be in the dressing room most of the show because I was in a lot of discomfort with my back, he said that was fine and for me to be careful, despite the fact I was going to be sat down for most of the evening.
Before I went to the dressing room though, I did decide to stand and watch the show for as long as I could which was about half an hour, then I had to sit down somewhere, I managed to find a chair in a spare dressing room, choosing not to go into the boys dressing room as Doug was in there with Blaze right now because he was asleep and had been for about an hour and a half now.
Tour life was draining for him, understandably so, it was a-lot of moving around and long days for him, naps were a thing he needed and I think I probably did too but never really found much chance to take one, only really on journeys from venue to venue did I get the chance catch five minutes.
But anyways, I got a chair from a spare dressing room and took it to the nearest phone backstage, I had promised Vince when I last saw him I'd call him when on tour and because I haven't spoken to him yet since embarking on this tour I chose now as a time to try and talk to him, hoping it was a good time.
I picked the phone off the receiver, put in as much change as I had in my purse which was enough for a twenty or so minute conversation and dialled Vin's phone number.
The phone rang out and rang for a little while and I was beginning to think maybe Vince was out or something, just as I was about to give up and lose the money I'd put into the phone when Vince answers "Hello?"
I perked up at hearing Vin's voice "Vinnie, it's Y/N."
"Ah, hey there stranger." He said with a obvious smile in his voice but I did note a slight change in his voice which I deducted was because I woke him up, it explains why he took so long to answer the phone.
"I've woken you up haven't I?"
Vince laughed a little "Possibly but I don't care if I'm being woken up by you. Is anything the matter or...?"
"No, no... I said I'd ring you and I haven't yet so this is me checking in with you, as promised."
"There's not all that much to check in with... life isn't all that interesting for me."
"That's a lie... what about your next album?"
"All six songs of it that aren't even recorded yet... yeah... real exciting."
