Y/N's POV, May 24th 2009
Nikki and I were in Venice for our anniversary, we got here yesterday evening off the back of two months of shows for their tour, with only a couple of days at home before catching our flight out to here.
It was nice waking up knowing that I didn't have to get up immediately and that we had no soundcheck or a show to do later on, it was just me and Nikki free to do whatever we wanted for a week.
When I woke up though, I didn't find Nikki next to me so I listened out for any sign he was around eventually pinpointing he was still in the apartment as I could hear the odd noise and the odd line or two of singing from the bassist though couldn't exactly hear what he was singing.
I knew that at some point he'd return to the room so I just lay with my eyes still closed waiting for him, I couldn't be bothered to move right now so was waiting until Nikki prompted me too just to give me those extra few minutes of 'sleep', as I wasn't actually asleep.
While I was just laying here memories of when we arrived here last night were replaying in my mind, I hadn't expected anything extra when we got here but knowing Nikki, of course he had to make it extra, he's Nikki Sixx.
When we got here and got into the apartment, I was immediately greeted by rose petals, all the way from the door, running all the way towards the bedroom, which I followed after some encouragement from Nikki, then when I got to the bedroom the rose petals lead to the bed then spelled out both mine and Nikki's names with a petal love heart underneath, with a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket between the pillows of either side of the bed.
I asked Nikki why and how and he said 'because I love you and you deserve all the cheesy romantic shit in the world and I just asked the owner of the apartment for a favour', it was cute Nikki thought about these things but I then asked about the champagne as he won't drink and told me just because he won't doesn't mean I can't.
So, that's sat in the fridge right now, and I'll find a time to drink it and as for the rose petals, they were still all over the place but Nikki said he'd clean them up but he could leave them for another day, I don't think that'd do much harm because they bring a smile to my face every time I look at them.
I was laid waiting for a few minutes more after I'd reminisced over the events of our arrival yesterday before I heard any movement which sounded like it was heading my way.
When I finally hear Nikki enter the room, I opened my eyes eagerly and looked at him, seeing him entering the room with a tray in his hands, with food on it. Ah, that makes sense.
We looked at each other and both of us smiled "I was going to ask what you were doing but I think that's fairly self explanatory now." I mutter as I hauled myself up and sat cross legged as Nikki walked further into the room.
"Morning, baby." Nikki says, stealing a kiss from me as he sat next to me and placed the tray on my lap "I thought you deserved breakfast in bed."
"Ooh, what did I do to deserve such a gesture?" I laughed sarcastically taking one of the piece of toast on one of the plates and taking a bite, looking at Nikki waiting for an answer.
"You've been married to me for twenty years, I think this is the least you deserve."
"What else do I deserve then?"
