Y/N's POV, April 28th 1997

Music video day for their first single for the album 'Afraid', one of the songs I was more fond of on the album. It was an interesting concept for a video, the main concept was the guys were all going to be basically be in a metal cage which is going to tilt to different angles, how this concept was made up I didn't know but Nikki and Tommy thought it'd be a laugh.

I was worried someone was going to get hurt but Nikki assured me a hundred times it's safe, he said they'll all probably fall over at some point but that it won't get to the point of injury and I trusted that.

We'd just arrived on the set of the video and I was taken aback when I first saw Vince, he hasn't said that he'd changed his hair colour but he had, he'd dyed his hair red and I didn't know what to think about it. Nikki didn't know Vince was dyeing his hair either and made a comment about Rudolph the red nose Reindeer which I had to laugh at. I made a mental note to wake Vince about his sudden dye job later.

As for Vince's face, his face was pretty much fixed up, there was still traces of pale green and yellow bruises but nothing that a little make up couldn't conceal.

After getting over a red haired Vince, Nikki and I spot Doug as he oversaw the set and we go over to him, he must have heard us approaching because he turned around and gave us both a smile "It's the Sixx-es, hey, how are you both?"

"We're good, thanks. What about you?" I say as we reached the manager.

"I'm fine, tired but that rarely changes."

"We totally sympathize with you, man." Nik chuckles "Is everyone here or is it just us and Vinnie?" Nikki asked.

"Everyone's here except Tommy, I'm sure he'll be here soon."

"If he's not here by midday, I'll fucking drive to his place and drag him here. I don't wanna be here until fuck knows o'clock." Nikki bitches then adds "I see Vince, he's a little hard to miss but where's Mick?"

"He's around... I saw him a minute ago, I'm sure he'll appear somewhere. You and Vince can go get changed though, Mick already has."

"Why isn't he getting changed already? How long's he been here?"

"Five minutes... I was just talking to him before you came in cause of his hair."

"I know, what the fuck was he thinking?"

Doug raised an eyebrow at my husband "You're not fond of it? I quite liked it actually, it's different."

"Different isn't always a good thing." Nik comments "Anyway, I'll go and get changed and take his traffic light looking ass with me."

"Traffic light?" I wonder as he starts to wander off towards Vince.

"Red hair always ends up turning orange, it's only a matter of time." Nikki shrugged with a smirk, heading over to Vince and tapping him on the shoulder.

Vin looked a little shocked to see Nikki was actually talking to him, given how the last time they saw one another Nikki was beating the living shit out of him this doesn't surprise me. Nikki said something, Vin nodded and then the two disappeared from sight, leaving Doug and myself.
