Y/N's POV, August 17th 1997
Since the music video shoot and then the album release life had once again picked up in pace with promos and interviews for the guys. It had been slightly less hectic for me but I'd still had to design a lot of things for this era of the band, and Nikki, Tommy and Vince had asked for some interesting things, mixing and matching outfits.
The guys were usually so style conscious so when some of these things were asked for it took me by surprise but whatever they wanted, they can have even if it's questionable in the ways of fashion.
After designing for 'Theatre of Pain', I can design for anything.
I was having fun even if juggling the album release and all the PR Nikki's caught up in and dealing with the three kids because I had to look after them mostly alone whenever Nikki had certain things to do. I missed following Nikki everywhere he went but we have commitments to our children and if my parents couldn't look after them then I had too, sometimes I just chose too because I felt bad giving them to my mom and dad all the time, it made me feel guilty for interrupting their lives and made me feel like a bad mom.
On a slightly different note, the guys had done some shows, a mini-tour if you will. It had been called 'Live Swine Listening Party Tour', which was basically when as soon as the album was released they did a bunch of shows in a few different places just to promote the album and just give themselves a ease into tour life together again after not being on tour with the four of them in six years.
That tour had one gone on for a few weeks around America from the very start of July until the end of the month, I'd gone with them and we did leave the kids with my parents but we knew we couldn't do it when the proper tour came around so we'd have to make a decision on what to do.
I'd probably have to stay home with them as much as I hate that idea, I don't realistically see any other choice.
There was an interview today though and it was with the entire band, and I actually was attending this one. My parents are at Nik and I's place while we were at this interview watching the kids for us. And no, this interview didn't involve me, I was just watching it. It got me out the house and I got to see the guys something which hadn't happened much since the mini-tour ended because of everything else going on.
The interview was about the album and the full tour that they were embarking on in just under a week. We'd all been picked up via limo stopping and collecting us from out houses to avoid anyone being late, Doug's idea and it was a good one to ensure everyone was on time.
The car ride with the five of us was fun, it couldn't not be and because it was fun, we ended up getting to the studio where the interview was happening with time moving fast.
When we got there, we all got out of the car and were taken into the building by an employee who had been waiting for us, we had to sign in at reception but once we'd done that, we were escorted through the building towards the studio.
We got inside and the guys got fussed over by a number of crew members, getting a little makeup done and getting hooked up to microphones. I was given a seat just next to the camera as the boys sat in their own seats Tommy sat next to Nikki, Nik sat next to Vince and Mick sat next to the blonde.
It took five minutes for everyone to finish setting up then the interviewer came over, greeting each of the four men and sat down himself, the camera started rolling and the interview began.
