Y/N's POV, March 11th 2000
It was a relatively quiet day today, it was a weekend and I was getting on top of some housework after we'd spend the last couple of days in the recording studio perfecting a few things on the latest couple of songs the guys have been working on.
Everything regarding the album was going well, and was still set to be released in July, they were set to finish the album in the middle of June, that's when their final session was scheduled for.
I was cleaning Nikki and I's room, and Blaze had taken it on himself to watch me while Nik remained downstairs playing outside with the other two kids.
I'd asked him why he's up here with me rather than downstairs with Nikki, Nico and Zeta but he just said he didn't feel like it though I knew that was a lie and I hoped he'd soon tell me the truth as to why he was lingering around me.
I carried on with what I was doing dusting off Nikki's music corner and the vanity table which was a mess, this entire room was a mess, hence why I'm cleaning it, I hadn't done it in a good while because of the album recording I've been to every session and hadn't had the chance even of days off to clean it in weeks because Nikki's always dragged us all somewhere or we've been to see someone.
I've always found cleaning kinda therapeutic but there were times where it became an inconvenience, and this was one of them, I want to be outside too with Nikki because they were seemingly having a great time out there but I knew if I didn't do this now it wouldn't get done for another god knows how long.
I had found since having children, especially since Nico and Zeta were born I'd had to nearly force myself to clean because I had to take up free time of mine to actually complete chores and because free time was hard to come by especially in times like this when Nikki wanted me in the studio with the band all the time, when I had free time I didn't want to spend it knee deep in cleaning products.
Anyway, I had to do what needed to be done, Nikki cleaned the kitchen for me last night and had done the living room this morning so it was my turn to do the bedroom and tomorrow morning I'd quickly clean the bathroom as it was pretty clean anyways.
While I cleaned Blaze was sat on Nikki and I's bed, I didn't mind the audience, it was actually quite nice to have someone watching, whether it was Nikki or one of the kids, it gave me someone to talk too if I wanted to strike up a conversation.
I must have been cleaning for close to half an hour when Blaze's voice reached my ears "Mommy?" Blaze asks, causing me to look up at him and stop what I was doing briefly.
"Yeah, baby?"
The boy opened his mouth but said nothing, then looked at his lap messing with his fingers in his lap "Can... can you tell me more about you and Uncle Vince?"
I furrowed my eyebrows "What about me and Vince?"
"When you used to be together... cause you've never told me what happened, I'm only told you were together like you and Daddy then you weren't and that Daddy did something bad but that's not everything and I wanna know. Surely I'm old enough to know now."
I sighed and went over to the boy sitting beside him "What made you want to know now?"
He shrugged "I hear you and Vince talk about it and he talks about it but I wanna know why you aren't with Uncle Vince anymore and I wanna know exactly what happened... can you tell me?"
