..."Do you know Indira Desai?" As soon as words left Jwalin's mouth, Arjun and Brijesh became dumbfounded, not knowing how to respond as one wrong word might cause harm to the SuryaVanshi.
Instead of getting impatient, Jwalin realized this must be a sensitive topic to the SuryaVanshi brothers and waited calmly, giving his silent support to them.
Pranavi's ears perked up, too eager to know who this Indira Desai is as she never heard her name until then. Jathin and Deepak are no different as they were hearing this name for the first time. Shreya is silently watching as it's not her business to meddle in.
After a couple of minutes of silence, Brijesh barely opened his mouth but Arjun beat him to it, his domineering voice boomed in the silent hall, "We do."
Jwalin nodded in understanding, his eyes gleaming to get more information even though he noticed the curt strain in Arjun's voice, "Who is she? How is she related to the SuryaVanshi's?"
Arjun clenched his fists, his jaw ticking with each passing second as images of Indira Desai clouded his once-peaceful mind. His eyes were turning red in a wild rage as it was taboo to mention Indira Desai's name in front of SuryaVanshi's, let alone the King, Arjun SuryaVanshi.
Brijesh sensed Arjun's outburst is nearing and decided to change the topic with a cough, his voice stern, "We'll discuss that later, Jwalin."
A frown settled on Jwalin as he sensed the changes in the atmosphere involving the SuryaVanshi brothers, his mind running a marathon with tons of scenarios revolving around Indira Desai and the SuryaVanshi's, but he gave a curt nod as he knew he shouldn't cross certain limits and added, "I cannot wait for long. Remember that."
Pranavi saw the shift in Jwalin and her brothers but had no idea what this is all about and didn't know what to do to reduce the stiffness in the air.
As if on cue, a nurse stopped a few feet away from them, he was focused on the papers in his hand and called, "Mr. Tushar Oberoi's family?"
Jathin muttered almost instantly, "We are."
The nurse raised his head upon hearing the domineering tone and scanned the people present. The moment he took in the chief minister's presence in the ward, his eyes widened, and a small gasp escaped his lips, but he composed himself and mumbled, "Any two of you can visit Mr. Oberoi for a few minutes."
Hearing the words, Jwalin turned to the young man dressed in a blue uniform and nodded. With a signal from Jathin, Jwalin came along and they walked with the nurse.
Pranavi let out a sigh of relief. Otherwise, she feared it may lead to a fight between her husband and brothers.
Deepak stayed behind with Shreya and Pranavi, while Arjun and Brijesh were still upset as their happy moods were ruined by the mention of Indira Desai. However, they decided to gulp the bitterness down as no news could destroy their happiness when it came to finding their sister, Rumanika.
Arjun went to Pranavi after a minute and queried, "Tell me sister, what gift do you want from me?"
Hearing his words, Pranavi didn't know whether to laugh or cry and stared at him, stunned to speak when Brijesh chided, "Come on, Brother. Who will ask such a stupid question?"
