Kristyn was currently on the Flicker World Tour with her boyfriend Niall. They were in Colorado with Maren Morris and her husband Ryan. They had a few hours to spare before the concert, so they were all hanging out together at the venue. They were all pretty bored, and were just making small talk. "Hey, guys, I have an idea! Since we are Colorado Springs, and since it's my hometown, would you guys like to go on a tour around the city?" Kristyn offered to pass time. "Sure!" they all agreed. They all took some time to drive around the city, and Kristyn showed them around a little bit. "Thanks for the tour, Kristyn! I really the city!" Maren and Ryan said. "Yeah, it was cool!" Niall said piping up.
After the four got back to the venue, Maren noticed Niall had been off the whole day. She waited till Niall was backstage alone doing some vocal warm-ups before the soundcheck. "Hey!" Maren said causing Niall to jump. "Oh, hey!" he said trying to get his nerves calmed down. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Maren laughed as she approached him. "It's okay," he said sitting down. "So, I noticed you've been abnormally quiet today...is something wrong?" Maren asked sitting next to him. "Well...I-, yeah. Okay, you can't tell anyone, but-" Niall stopped to look and make sure no one else was around. "I was planning on proposing to Kristyn on stage tonight...but I'm really nervous she's going to say no," he said dropping his head in his hands. "Niall, you shouldn't worry about her saying no! She loves you very much! She would say yes!" Maren said laying a hand on his shoulder. "You really think so?" Niall said looking up at her. "I know so!" Maren encouraged. "Okay!...but how should I do it?" Niall asked. "I have an idea! How about she sings "Seeing Blind" with you tonight instead of me, and then after you sing it, you can propose to her?" Maren threw out. "That's a really great idea!" Niall said feeling better about the situation.
After they finished making all of the plans, they walked back to the dressing room where Kristyn was. "Hey!" Niall said walking in the room. "Hey, babe!" Kristyn said looking up from her phone. "So, Maren doesn't want to sing "Seeing Blind" tonight, so I thought since we were in your hometown, you should totally sing it with me!" Niall said smiling. "Okay sure!" Kristyn agreed. "Awesome! Let's go do a quick soundcheck really fast for it then!" Niall said and they ran on stage to do it.
It was getting close to show time, and Maren met them backstage. "Y' all are going to do great! Break a leg," she said and winked at Niall to give him a little extra encouragement. Kristyn stood backstage and watched her boyfriend perform. Before she knew it, it was her turn to go on stage with Niall. "Next, I want to welcome my beautiful girlfriend, Kristyn, to come sing "Seeing Blind" with me, since we are in her hometown!" Niall said waving Kristyn on. Kristyn and Niall sang the song beautifully, and then Niall handed his guitar to one of his band members. "Wait," Niall said before Kristyn walked off, causing her to give him a confused look. Niall got down on one knee, causing the audience to gasp and awe. "Kristyn, I love you so much, and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. Will you marry me?" Niall asked her lovingly. "Yes, of course!" she answered back as he put the ring on her finger. "I love you," he said as he stood up and kissed her. "I love you too!" Kristyn said as she went backstage. She was stopped by Maren, and was engulfed in a big hug. "Yay! I knew it would go great!" Maren said cheerfully. "Were you behind this too?" Kristyn laughed. "Maybe a little," Maren said before her and Kristyn hung out for the rest of the concert backstage.
