Kristyn had quite a busy and interesting life; she was a dentist who owned her own successful practice. She also lived with her boyfriend, Niall Horan, as well as her twin brother, Liam Payne, who was also Niall's best friend and bandmate. When Kristyn wasn't at her office, she was typically anywhere that One Direction were; however, now that One Direction were taking a few weeks off from band stuff, Niall and Liam were horribly bored. Kristyn listened to them mope and moan all weekend saying things like "I'm so bored" "I can't wait to be back" and "there's nothing to do." Kristyn finally got an idea when she walked downstairs one morning, and Niall was laying sprawled out on the couch, and Liam was positioned upside down on the other one. "No, no, no," she heard Liam saying as Niall flipped through channels on the TV. "Hey boys, do you want to come to work with me and see what I do?" Kristyn offered hoping it would ease some of their complaining and boredom. "Sure!" Niall and Liam said as they both dramatically rolled off the couches to get ready. "Y'all are something else," Kristyn said as she went to go fix some coffee before they left.
The three of the arrived at her office a bit later, and Kristyn parked the car. "Alright, here we go," she said as they got out of the car, and they all headed into her office. "Hey guys!" Kristyn said as she saw all of her hygienists and assistants talking. "Hey!" they all greeted as they noticed Niall and Liam were following behind her. "Hey boys! What are you guys doing here?" they said to them. "They were bored since One Direction is taking a small break, so I brought them, so they could see what all I do and what goes into being a dentist," Kristyn explained as she fiddled with her lanyard to find her office key. "It's too early for you guys to be bored," one assistant laughed as Kristyn opened the door. "That's what I thought!" she said before entering her office. Kristyn turned the lights on and plopped down in her desk chair as she turned her computer on. "You guys can take a seat, we don't open for a little while longer," she said and Niall and Liam sat in the chairs they always sat in when they came to visit her on her breaks at work. Kristyn logged into her computer, and the boys watched as she pulled her charts up. "Okay, let's see what we have today," Kristyn said as she went through the appointments, and saw she had someone coming in to get four teeth pulled. "Okay, well it looks like my first appointment is coming in to have four teeth pulled- two bottoms, and two upper. I have to go set up for the procedure, you guys are welcome to come watch that as well," Kristyn said standing up, and the boys nodded as they followed her down the hall into an exam room.
Kristyn flipped the light on, and she opened the drawer that has the syringes in it. She grabbed two out, and quickly put two syringes together. Kristyn opened up her other drawer with all of the sterilized tools to do teeth extractions, and she started laying them out on the tray. She noticed that Niall and Liam were looking all the different tools over with wide eyes, and she could see they looked scared. "What's wrong?" she asked with a laugh, and Liam and Niall broke their gaze from all the tools. "That's all the tools you need for teeth removal?" they asked with a gulp, and Kristyn laughed again. "Yup! But that's why we numb the patients first, so they can't feel anything. It may seem scary, but they're really not that bad," Kristyn explained and the boys nodded as she continued setting up everything. They went back to her office after everything was set up, and they all sat back down where they had previously. Kristyn pulled her appointments back up, and she saw she had a full day. "What are you doing?" Liam asked as he saw Kristyn studying the screen. "Looking at my appointments for the day," she said and Liam and Niall cake around to look when she waved them over to see. "Holy crap! That's so many!" Niall said looking at the screen. "That is!" Liam said and they were completely shocked at how many she had. "Dentistry is a big job, and it takes a lot of patience as well," Kristyn told them and they returned to their seats. "I couldn't do it!" Niall said as he sat back down. "It's worth it," Kristyn smiled.
The three of them continued talking until Kristyn's assistant came in. "Hey Dr. Kristyn! Ivy is ready for you in the exam room," she said and Kristyn smiled at her. "Thank you!" she said standing up. "That's the tooth extraction patient. Would you guys like to come sit and watch?" Kristyn asked as she started to walk out of the room. "Sure!" Liam said standing. "Yes!" Niall agreed as they followed her into the exam room. As Kristyn walked into the room, she saw her patient, Ivy, and Ivy's mom in the room. "Hi guys! You just be Ivy. I'm Dr. Kristyn, and this is my fiancé Niall, and my brother Liam," Kristyn smiled as she walked over to shake Ivy and her mom's hand, and Liam and Niall did the same. "Would it be okay if Niall and Liam sat and watched?" Kristyn asked after they had finished their greetings. "That's fine," Ivy and her mom said, and Kristyn nodded. "Okay!" Kristyn said and Liam and Niall sat down in the corner out of the way, but where they could still see. Kristyn took her engagement ring off, because she didn't like wearing it with gloves on, and handed it over to Niall. She slipped her gloves and mask on, and then rolled her stool over to the dental chair. "Okay Ivy. Can you open up for me, please?" Kristyn asked and Ivy did. Kristyn grabbed her explorer and mirror and checked the teeth again. Kristyn then grabbed the numbing gel and hid it from Ivy. "I need you today stay open for me," Kristyn instructed and Ivy nodded as Kristyn quickly put the needle in her mouth and Ivy tensed and started crying. "I know it's uncomfortable, but you're doing great! It's almost over," Kristyn said talking to her to calm her down. "You're doing so good! You may be one of my best patients!" Kristyn said just trying to get her mind off of what was going on as she quickly numbed the back side and her other two teeth front and back.
"All done, now we just wait for you to get numb!" Kristyn said as she sat the syringes down on the tray. Kristyn chatted with Ivy's mom a little, and then pulled her mask back over her face as she started getting ready to work on Ivy. "Okay, I'm going to check to make sure you're numb," Kristyn said and Ivy opened. Kristyn grabbed her explorer and tapped on Ivy's teeth. "Can you feel that?" Kristyn asked. "I can't feel anything," Ivy said and Kristyn nodded. "Okay! We are ready to get started then," Kristyn said grabbing the pliers and putting them around the first tooth. "Okay, Ivy. You're going to feel a tug and a pull," Kristyn said and Ivy gave her a thumbs up. Kristyn quickly pulled out the first tooth, and Liam and Niall cringed watching in the corner which caused Kristyn to smile under her mask. "First one is down!" Kristyn said moving on to the second tooth. She then pulled it and got the other two teeth pulled as well. Kristyn put some gauze in her mouth, and then she sat Ivy's chair up. "All done! You're good to go!" Kristyn said and Ivy and her mom thanked her. Kristyn put her teeth into a teeth holder, and then she started cleaning up. "That was cool!" Niall said as he helped her clean. "It definitely was! I never realized what all went into it!" Liam said and Kristyn nodded. "I'm glad you boys enjoyed!" she said before finishing cleaning up, and then they went back to her office to wait for the next patient.
The three of them talked and joked until the next patient came in, and they followed Kristyn to the exam room once again. This one ways just a cleaning, but they boys still enjoyed watching Kristyn at work. After a full day of work, it was finally time for them to go home. "Bye guys! I'll see you all tomorrow!" Kristyn said to the remaining workers that were leaving, and then she locked her office up. "What a day!" Kristyn said after as the three of the were walking to the car. "It was so cool to watch you do your thing!" Liam said as they were getting buckled in. "It definitely was! Now, you've seen us do our job, and we've seen you do your job," Niall said and Kristyn laughed. "Anytime you boys want to come back, you are more than welcome," Kristyn laughed and the boys were excited. "We would love to!" Liam said and Niall agreed. They had an amazing day. The three of them drove home, and Kristyn dropped her keys on the table. She ran upstairs and threw on some comfortable clothes, and the reappeared back downstairs. "There's my beautiful fiancé," Niall said as she sat next to him on the couch. "Awe, you're too sweet," Kristyn said as Niall pulled her close and the two of them cuddled. She could feel Niall shift to grab something out of his pocket. "I believe it's time to put this back in its rightful place," Niall smiled as he held her ring in his hand. "I believe you're right," Kristyn smiled as she held her hand out, and Niall put her ring back on. For the rest of the night, the two of them cuddled happily on the couch.
