Hope you are all well! Much love! For months, Liam has been having a hard time seeing. He chalked it up to different things, but it progressively got worse and worse as time went on. The boys would notice he would have to squint to see certain things, he was getting headache, and it was getting really annoying not being able to see clearly. Liam really did push off admitting to the boys till the last second, even though they knew he was lying. They would continually ask him about it, but he would always blow it off as something else until finally, he gave in and walked down the stairs to where his boyfriends were sitting on the couch. "Hey Li!" Harry said as Liam said down, and Harry pulled him in to cuddle. "Hey," Liam said, and Louis muted the TV. "You okay?" he asked knowing something didn't seem right. "I mean...no," Liam admitted, and the boys all looked at him concerned. "What's wrong, love?" Zayn asked him. "Well, you know how you boys have been asking me if I'm having a hard time seeing?" Liam asked, and they all nodded knowing where the conversation was going. "Well, I really am having a hard time seeing. It's only getting worse, and it's starting to make me constantly have a headache, because I'm having to really strain to see," Liam said and dropped his head. "Li, we knew you were having problems with it. Why didn't you say something earlier though?" Niall asked as he sat next to Liam and tipped his chin up gently to look at him. "I guess I'm afraid of wearing glasses," Liam said, and the boys chuckled at him. "Liam, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing glasses! You'll look great! I'm going to schedule an appointment, maybe they can get you in today," Louis said walking off after kissing Liam on the nose.
The eye doctor wound up being able to get Liam in about an hour later, so they all piled into the car and off they went. They got taken straight back, and the eye doctor was in within seconds. "Hey Liam! It's been a while!" the doctor said shaking us and the boys hands. "So, I heard you are having problems seeing, how long has this been going on?" he asked sitting down with Liam's files and a pen. "About four months," Liam said with a sigh. "Okay! Now, would you say it's pretty bad?" he asked. "Yes sir. I can barely see without squinting, and it's making me have headaches," Liam explained, and the doctor nodded. "Okay, so you'll probably need glasses. Let's go ahead and take a look," the doctor said, and the boys gave Liam a reassuring smile as he started the exam. The doctor asked him a serious of questions and saw how badly Liam needed glasses. "Okay, you most certainly need glasses. I'll be back with some options for you to try on!" the doctor said as he walked out of the room.
"I knew it! I'm going to look stupid!" Liam said clearly upset over needing glasses. "Oh Liam, don't be silly!" Harry said as he walked over and held Liam's hand. "Yeah, babe! You're going to look so good!" Zayn added. "Yes, babe! It's going to be fine!" Niall said. "What about wearing them in front of the fans? What if they hate them?" Liam asked, and Louis shook his head at his worrying boyfriend. "Liam, the fans love you for you, not what you look like. But it won't matter anyway, because they're going to love them too!" Louis said rubbing Liam's back. "This sucks!" Liam said, and the doctor walked back in with a plethora of different glasses all shapes and colors. "Okay, so here are some more standard black ones. The frames on these are all a bit different, and here are some more if you want some colored or patterned ones," the doctor said, and Liam looked at them. "Keep an open mind," Zayn said, and Liam nodded as he tried the first pair on. "I'm not a big fan of these," Liam said, and the doctor nodded and handed him another pair. "There are thousands to choose from, we have way more where this came from if you don't find any you like," the doctor said, and Liam nodded. He tried on a few different pairs, and finally they stumbled upon a pair of glasses with a simple thin black frame. "Those look so great!" Louis said as he noticed Liam seemed to been more keen on those. "You like them?" Liam asked turning to the boys, and they all thought he looked awesome. "Yes babe! You look so good!" Niall said. "They really suit you!" Harry added. "Do you like them?" the eye doctor asked. "I think I do," Liam said with a small smile. "Okay! Are these the ones?" the doctor asked. "Yes, I like these," Liam said, and the doctor nodded. "Awesome! I'll go order your prescription, so you will have a backup pair," he said walking out of the room. "I'm still not there happiest about this," Liam sighed as he looked in the mirror, and Harry came up behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist. "You look amazing, baby," Harry said kissing his cheek.
It took Liam a few days to get used to wearing the glasses, but the boys absolutely loved them. A week later, they had a concert, and Liam was nervous to show the fans; however, they all cheered extra loud for him when they saw them. He checked social media where pictures of him with his glasses were circulating, and everyone loved them. Liam felt much better after he realized everyone liked them, and he started to really like them himself.
