If you know Kristyn, you know two things about her- 1. her life isn't ordinary; her twin is Liam Payne from One Direction, and she is dating Niall Horan, Liam's bandmate and best friend. 2. she was terrified of the dentist. So, when she found herself sitting in the waiting room for her six-month cleaning, she was petrified. She scanned the room as her knee bounced up and down. "You okay?" Liam asked as he could sense the nervousness radiating off of her. "Not really," she said as she felt her stomach churn again. Liam put a hand on her leg to calm her down, and Kristyn took in a sharp breath to try and calm her nerves. She was happy that Liam had tagged along with her to hold her hand and comfort her through the appointment, having her twin around always eased her nerves some. "It's alright," Liam smiled at her reassuringly, and she nodded trying to believe him. Liam was used to Kristyn being very afraid of the dentist, and was glad that he could help her out; however, he felt bad, because he had been keeping a secret from her. Secretly, Niall had been a dentist when the band wasn't on the road, and they had kept that from her because they knew how afraid she was of the dentist. They had debated on telling her, but decided it was best if they waited. "Kristyn?" an assistant smiled as she opened the door, and Kristyn's heart started pounding again. "You've got this," Liam smiled as he stood with his sister, and the two of them followed the assistant to a room. "Okay, the dentist will be in shortly," she said after putting a bib around Kristyn's neck and getting all of the tools sat out, and then she left the room. "I hate this," Kristyn said rocking her feet back and forth as she sat in the chair. "I know you do, but I'll be right here the whole time. Don't you worry," Liam smiled at his twin as he took her hand in his, and she fiddled with her shirt nervously as they waited.
Shortly, Kristyn heard the door open. "Hey Liam! Hey babe!" Niall said and Kristyn recognized the Irish voice. She looked over and was appalled as saw her boyfriend standing there. "Babe?" she asked in shock. She saw Niall in scrubs and in a white jacket, and she was confused. "Niall, why are you dressed like that?" Kristyn asked as her face showed her confusion. "Kristyn, Liam and I have been keeping this from you for a while, because we both know how scared you are of the dentist, but I'm a dentist now. I finished up schooling when we weren't touring, and now I'm your dentist," Niall explained to Kristyn with a sigh. Kristyn tried to process what he was saying, and she just looked at him in shock. She didn't know what to do or think about the situation. "I know this is confusing and probably upsetting, but I promise I won't hurt you at all! Can I just check your teeth?" Niall asked and Kristyn nodded after a second, still completely dumbfounded at what was going on. "Okay, babe," Niall smiled at her, and he leaned the chair back. He situated himself on his stool after gloving up, and flipping the overhead light on. "Okay, can you open up for me?" Niall asked gently, and Kristyn did as she was told. Niall looked around quickly, and was sure to tell Kristyn what was going on as he did it. "Okay! So, good news, you have no cavities. However, your wisdom teeth are long overdue to come out," Niall told her, and Kristyn didn't like the sound of that at all, so she just nodded in response as Niall sat the chair up. Niall pulled into a huge hug after she stood up, and he felt awful. "Kristyn, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you," Niall apologized and Kristyn just hugged him back. Niall kissed her, and then Liam and Kristyn left to go back home. It was silent in the car ride home, and Liam looked over to Kristyn who looked hurt. "Kristyn, I'm really sorry we didn't tell you. We just know how afraid you are of the dentist, and didn't want to make things worse for you," Liam said and Kristyn nodded at him with a small smile as they pulled into their driveway.
The next morning, Liam and Kristyn were sitting on the couch watching TV when Liam's phone rang. He looked down to see who it was, and the caller ID read 'Niall'. "Hey mate," Liam answered, and Kristyn could hear Niall talking on the other end of the phone. "Hey mate. We have an opening to get Kristyn in for her wisdom teeth removal," Niall explained, and Kristyn's eyes grew wide as she turned her head to look at Liam. Liam frowned as Kristyn shook her head 'no' and started crying. "I know you don't want to, but it's better to get it done now and not later," Liam tried to reason, and Kristyn looked away from him as tears continued to run down her face. "I'll call you back in a few mate," Liam said before getting off and sitting silently as he could see Kristyn thinking. Kristyn sat for a little bit and thought about it, and finally made her mind up. "Tell Niall to go ahead and set it up," Kristyn said a little louder than a whisper. "Are you sure?" Liam sat with a smile. "Yeah," Kristyn said and Liam hugged her. "Okay! I'll call him!" Liam said happy thar Kristyn decided to go ahead and do it, so she wouldn't be in pain from waiting longer.
