Niall had finished up "Heartbreak Weather" and was trying to come up with something fun to do with it, and decided that he wanted to do a secret listening session at his and Kristyn's house. He was pondering to himself about it as him and his wife sat watching TV. "Thinking hard?" Kristyn laughed noticing Niall seemed to be deep in thought. "Oh, sorry! Yeah, I was thinking," Niall laughed not noticing how deep in thought he looked. "Whatcha thinking about?" Kristyn asked turning the volume of the TV down. "Well, I was thinking about how cool it would be to do a secret listening session for "Heartbreak Weather" and I was thinking maybe we could have it at our house?" Niall asked knowing he needed to talk to her about it first, because they share the house. "That's a great idea! I'm not gonna hold you back from doing what you want with your album!" Kristyn answered back. "Really? Thank you, babe!" he said kissing her. "No problem!" Kristyn said back.
Throughout the week, the two pondered on the plan for the listening session. After throwing ideas around, they agreed on having it like a pool party, since they had a big pool in their yard. "Now, we need to decide who gets to come," Niall said as he jotted down the pool party plan. "Contest?" Kristyn asked him. "Sure! How about we have a contest, and ten fans and a friend will get selected, we invite them to the pool party, and we can barbecue?" Niall said gathering a plan. "Sounds good to me, babe!" Kristyn answered as they finally had a plan together. "Awesome, it's set then! I'll announce it on my page!" Niall said stacking the papers together.
As the end of the contest drew near, there were tons and tons of entries. "I didn't realize there was going to be this many to choose from!" Niall said scrolling through the entries. "I didn't either," Kristyn said sitting next to him to pick the ten fans. "I guess we better start going through them then," Niall said scrolling up to the top. "Okay, that's ten," Niall said as they picked the last entry. "Finally!" Kristyn said rubbing her tired eyes. "I'm glad that's done," Niall said stretching. "Me too! Okay, I'll get to contacting them and telling them they won," Kristyn said taking the list and messaging them all. They spent the evening enjoying seeing people's reactions when they got the good news.
"Today's the day!" Niall said as the two woke up on the day of the session. "I'm excited!" Kristyn said as they made their way downstairs to get everything set up. "Me too!" Niall said opening the backdoor, and dragging the grill around. "I think they'll love the album," Kristyn said blowing up some floats, and setting up towels and stuff for everyone. "I hope they do, I worked really hard on it!" Niall said as he joined to help Kristyn getting the lounge chairs pulled next to the pool.
Shortly after, fans started being escorted into Niall and Kristyn's house. Kristyn stood at the door getting everyone's phones in a bucket as they walked in. "Thanks guys!" Kristyn said as the last person filed in. "Welcome to our house! Your phones will be safely secured in this bucket, we are just taking your phones to ensure there aren't any pictures taken of our house! Niall is outside if you want to follow me," Kristyn said taking them out to Niall who was standing on the porch starting up the grill. "Hey guys!" Niall greeted as they all shuffled out the door. "Welcome to the secret listening session for "Heartbreak Weather" slash pool party and barbecue," Niall said causing the fans to laugh. They all greeted each other, and then after they had all introduced themselves, everyone took off to the pool. Niall cooked the burgers, and Kristyn made the fries while everyone else played in the pool. After the food was done, Niall and Kristyn joined them in the pool for some fun.
They were having a great time, and it started to get later, so they got out to eat the dinner the Horan's had prepared, and listen to the album. "Alright guys, here's the album," Niall said starting the music. After they finished the album, the fans gave him cheers and positive input on how much they loved it. "Thank you, guys! To thank you for coming and entering, we have a little gift for you!" Niall said and him and Kristyn started passing out a goodie bag full of some "Heartbreak Weather" merch. "Thanks again for coming guys," Niall said as they passed everyone's phones back out as they left.
"Whew, I'm tired!" Niall laughed as they shut the door behind the last fan. "Me too!" Kristyn agreed as they started cleaning up the mess from the party. "It was really fun though!" Niall said grabbing some trash left behind. "It was!" Kristyn said picking up some of the mess. After they completed cleaning, the two decided to go get in the hot tub together, and relax before they went up to bed.
After the two got out, and got ready for bed. They laid down, and talked about how much they enjoyed the day. "I really had a great time today, and I'm glad they enjoyed the album," Niall said pulling Kristyn close. "I did too! It was fun to see everyone having such a good time. They were really cool!" Kristyn agreed, and with that they fell asleep cuddled up to each other.
