Prompt: Niall and Kristyn are married and both dentists working in the same office. After work, they are cleaning up when Kristyn saw Niall's file, and saw that Niall hadn't been to the dentist in six years. Niall gets a little nervous after not being in so many years, but he only need two root canals. After Kristyn finished, Niall sees that Kristyn hasn't been in six years either. She breaks down once he asks her about it, begins telling Niall the horrors she had with her previous dentist. Niall gets her to agree to letting him give her an exam, and finds she needs two root canals and four teeth pulled. Kristyn can feel the pain, so Niall has to renumb her. She falls asleep in the middle of the procedures, and wakes up in their bed, Niall's arms wrapped around her. They share a sweet moment, then fall back asleep in tangled together.
Niall and Kristyn were a power couple-both dentists and both in love. They were married, and worked in the same office together. After a long day of dental procedures, the Horan's started cleaning up around the office. "This place is a mess," Kristyn said going through stacks and stacks of files and paperwork. "You aren't kidding," Niall said wiping down the chairs. "Here's your file, Ni-" Kristyn said opening it. "Whoa! You haven't been in six years for a cleaning?" Kristyn asked. "Yeah. You know how it goes. You get busy, and just let things slide," he admitted coming to look at the file. "Let me do it while we are here," Kristyn said smiling. "Okay," Niall said nervously but went to sit in the chair anyways. After xrays, she saw that Niall needed two root canals. "Dang. I really should've been coming," he said as she laid the chair back. "It's alright, we will get those fixed right up," Kristyn said getting the shots to numb his mouth before she started. After a bit, she had gotten Niall all fixed up and ready to go. "Thank you!" Niall said rubbing his numb cheek to try and get some feeling back. They went back to cleaning, and Niall found Kristyn's file too.
Kristyn could feel herself tense as Niall said he found hers. She already knew what he was going to see. "Kristyn, it says you haven't been in six years either," Niall read and that was all it took to break the dam. Kristyn started crying and apologizing. "What are you sorry for?" Niall asked hugging Kristyn. "Well, I haven't been cause my old dentist was terrible. He was so rude, and he didn't care that I was afraid of needles. He was just a jerk, and I really-" Kristyn started ranting but Niall kissed her to get her to stop. He kisses her for a good minute before pulling away. "I'm not your old dentist. Let me give you an exam, and I'll tell you everything I am doing," Niall coaxed and Kristyn agreed to let him examine her.
Kristyn made her way to the exam chair, and Niall examined her. "Well, it looks like you are due for two root canals, and you need to have four teeth pulled," Niall said reviewing her x-rays. Niall explained he was going to numb her with a needle, and Kristyn was relatively calm; calm enough to get them done quickly. As Niall started the first root canal, Kristyn could feel everything that he was doing. When Kristyn had tears start rolling down her face, Niall stopped. "Are you okay?" Niall asked concerned. "I can feel it," Kristyn said and Niall went immediately to get some stronger numbing medication. After he renumbed her, he made sure she was good to continue. Before Niall knew, Kristyn was asleep. He smiled to himself as he finished the last few things he had to do.
After the grueling procedures, Kristyn finally woke up. When she opened her eyes, she was in their bed. She felt Niall's strong arms wrapped around her, and holding her close. "Hello sleepy head," Niall smiled as he felt her move. "Hello," Kristyn said turning over to look at him. He pulled her closer to him as she adjusted on her other side. Kristyn looked into the eyes of her husband, she had never been more in love. "Whatcha thinking about?" Niall questioned smiling back. Kristyn shook her head, and kissed him. "I love you," she said and he snuggled her even closer. "I love you too," Niall said. It wasn't but a few minutes later, and they were both back asleep in each others arms.
