Danielle woke up feeling particularly icky. She laid in bed for a good bit of the morning, and finally decided she needed to tell her parents. "Mom," she called as she wandered down the stairs. "Yes, hun?" her mom said from the kitchen where she was reading, and her dad was eating breakfast. "I don't feel good," she said causing her mom to look at her concerned. "Let me feel your forehead," her mom said sitting down her book. "It feels like you have a fever," her mom said moving her hand to her cheeks. "I'll go get the thermometer," her dad said standing up, and taking his plate to the sink. A few minutes later, her dad appeared with the thermometer. Danielle put it under her tongue, and they waited for a few minutes until it beeped. "Yep, you have a fever. Let's go ahead and go into the doctor and see what you have," her mom said cleaning up the kitchen. Danielle sighed as she ran up the stairs to change out of her pajamas.
Danielle and her parents walked into the doctor's office, and her dad took a seat, and Danielle and her mom went up to the desk. "Hello!" the receptionist smiled at them. "Hi!" they both said back. "What can I help you with today?" she asked getting some paper work together. "Well, my daughter has a fever, and isn't feeling well, so I thought I would go ahead and bring her in," her mom answered. "Okay! No problem! I'm just going to go ahead and have you fill out her paper work, because you won't be allowed back in the room while they are checking her out," the receptionist smiled as she handed her the clipboard. "And what's her name and age?" the receptionist asked so she could enter it into the computer. "Danielle and 11," she said as she started filling out the papers. "Okay, she will be called back shortly," the receptionist said as they went to take a seat. "Danielle?" a nurse said momentarily. "We will be right out here if you need anything, Danielle," her mom said as she was taken back. After she was asked a series of questions about her symptoms and such, she was left alone to wait for her team of doctors.
A bit later, seven doctors walked in and got gloved and ready to examine her. "Hi! My name is V, and this is Jungkook, Jimin, SUGA, Jin, RM, and J-Hope," V greeted as they all got prepared. "I'm Danielle," she said as they came over. "We heard you aren't feeling good and are running a fever, so we are just going to a general check-up and go from there," Jin said smiling. Jungkook took her blood pressure, and her temperature. As he charted, SUGA took over and looked at her eyes, ears and mouth. "Your throat is red," he observed. J-Hope did the rest of her exam, and they decided that she would just need a shot, and she would be good to go. "Alright Danielle, we will just need to give you a quick shot, and you'll be good to go," RM said as he put some medicine in a syringe. "A shot?" she asked as her eyes grew wide. "Yes, but it's a quick one. It'll be a quick prick, and you'll be good to go!" V said noticing her frightened look. "I want my parents," she said as her heart started to pound. "They have to stay in the waiting room, I'm sorry," Jimin said sympathetically. "No! You don't understand!" she exclaimed as her breathing began to get raged. "It'll be okay," J-Hope said as she started to work herself into a panic attack. Before she knew it, Danielle had lost complete control over her breathing. She started to completely freak out as RM approached her with the needle. "Hey! Calm down. What's wrong?" SUGA questioned as she began to try and get off the bed. "I-I'm terrified of nee-needles," she stammered out as she tried to get away from their grip on her. "You have to calm down, Danielle," Jungkook said as he gently grabbed her flailing hands as she protested the shot. "Please don't make me!" she cried out. "You have to get this shot, it's the only way you're going to feel better quickly. You need to relax," Jin said trying to get her calm down. "I need you to slow your breathing. You are going to pass out if you don't get control of your breathing," Jimin said to her sternly. "Follow my breathing," V said as he took deep breaths for her to mimic. She tried really hard to follow V's breathing, but she wasn't doing great. The needle was still right next to her, and the more she looked at it, the more she began to panic. "Don't look at the needle, look at us," J-Hope said realizing what was causing her to panic all over again. J-Hope moved the needle over so she couldn't see it, and so she would focus on getting calmed down. Jungkook patted her shoulder to help calm her down, and get some air back into her lungs. After several minutes, Danielle's breathing start to return to normal, and she was able to calm down enough to tell them sorry. "Don't apologize, we just want to help you," SUGA said. RM hopped up on the table with her, and picked up the needle again. "Okay, I need you to stay calm for me," RM said with a trace of seriousness in his voice, but he was smiling to help her nerves. Jin held his hand out for her. "Here, squeeze my hand when it hurts," Jin said and she took his hand to do so. "Okay, ready?" RM asked as he slid her sleeve up. "Yes," she said as she clenched her eyes during the shot, and squeezed Jin's hand. "One, two, three," RM said putting the needle in on two. Before she knew it, she was completely done and bandaged up. "Good job!" Jungkook encouraged after. "Thank you for helping me calm down," Danielle said to the seven. "No problem! You did great," V said as he finished cleaning up the room. "Feel better," they all said to her as she stood up to leave back to her parents. "Thank you," she said as she exited.
"How'd it go?" Danielle's mom asked as she returned to the waiting room. "I got a shot. I freaked out a little, but my doctor's were really cool, and helped me through it," she said walking out. Danielle could now rest assured needles weren't too bad, and she had a great team of doctors to help her through it.
