Niall and Kristyn Horan were married with twin girls Kaylyn and Irelyn, and the newest addition to their family, baby Isla. Liam Payne, Kristyn's twin and Niall's bandmate, best friend, and brother-in-law, lived with them too. Niall and Liam were in the band One Direction, and Kristyn worked as a dentist who owned her own practice. They had just had baby Isla the day before, so while she was asleep, they all took Kaylyn and Irelyn outside to play, so she could sleep. "Be careful, Irelyn," Kristyn said to Irelyn who was running around in the yard. She no more got it out of her mouth, and Irelyn tripped over something and landed face first on the concrete. "Irelyn!" Kristyn said running over to check on her daughter. She picked a crying Irelyn up and held her close. She inspected her for any injuries, and then gently pushed her hair out of her face. "Can you open your mouth, so mommy can take a look?" Kristyn asked, and Irelyn opened her mouth. Kristyn saw immediately that she had knocked her two bottom teeth loose. "Is she okay?!" Niall asked running over once he heard the commotion. "She's knocked her bottom teeth loose," Kristyn explained looking over at him. "Let's go ahead and bring her to the office," Niall said, and Kristyn nodded as she picked her daughter up. Kristyn buckles Irelyn into her car seat as Niall started the car, and then she went back into the house where Liam was with Kaylyn and Isla. "Hey Liam, would you mind staying with the girls while we take Irelyn to fix her teeth?" Kristyn asked him. "Of course!" Liam said and Kristyn sighed in relief. "Thank you so much! You're the best! Mommy and daddy will be back soon, Kaylyn. You be good for Uncle Liam, and help him take care of baby Isla," Kristyn said turning to Kaylyn. "Okay, mommy!" Kaylyn said. "Thanks again!" Kristyn said running over to hug Liam. "Don't mention it!" Liam said, and Kristyn ran back out to the car, and sat in the back seat to calm Irelyn down.
Niall drove them to the office, and by the time they arrived, Irelyn had calmed down but was still nervous. Niall carried her in and peppered her with kisses which made her laugh in an attempt to get her mind off of it. Niall sat her in the dental chair after Kristyn got them into the exam room, and Kristyn got her gloves and mask on. "Can you open for mommy?" she asked Irelyn, and Kristyn put numbing gel on her gums. She got the needle ready, and then she brought it from back around where Irelyn couldn't see. "Okay, you have to stay open for mommy," Kristyn said and Irelyn nodded. Kristyn gently poked her with the needle, and Irelyn went straight to grab it. Niall quickly grabbed her little hands before she could reach it. "It hurts mommy!" Irelyn screamed, and Kristyn felt awful. "I know, baby, but you're almost done," Kristyn said trying to hurry up and finish while Niall rubbed his thumbs over her tiny hands to try and soothe her. "All done, baby!" Kristyn said finally finishing, and then they had to wait for it to numb her. Kristyn took her gloves and mask off, and then she picked Irelyn up out of the chair. She held her close and rocked her a little to calm her down.
After waiting a few minutes, Kristyn decided it was time to check her teeth. "I have to check and make sure your teeth are numb now," Kristyn smiled as she stuck Irelyn back in the chair, and then put her gloves and mask back on. She grabbed her explorer, and she touched her two bottom teeth. "Can you feel that on your teeth?" Kristyn asked. "I can't feel anything," Irelyn said, and Kristyn nodded. Kristyn quickly grabbed the pliers and put them around Irelyn's tooth. She pulled the first one out, and then quickly pulled the second one out. "Good job, baby!" Kristyn said putting the pliers down, and then she put the teeth in a little tooth container. "Mommy is going to check the rest of your teeth," Kristyn said and looked around Irelyn's mouth. She wound up finding two cavities, and Kristyn's heart dropped when she saw them. "Okay, Irelyn. You are going to have to have one more shot," Kristyn frowned, and Irelyn just looked at her. "I know, baby, but we need to fix it so that it doesn't make your teeth hurt," was all Kristyn could say, she felt terrible. Irelyn nodded and Kristyn, and she got Irelyn some more numbing gel. Kristyn sat up the other needle, and then she turned back around to Irelyn. "Okay, baby. Open for me," she said, and Niall held her hands again. Kristyn quickly poked her with that one, and she didn't scream but she cried. "You did so good!" Kristyn said finishing the shot, and then quickly drilled and filled her cavities. "You are all done! Great job!" Kristyn said as she sat Irelyn up in the chair. "You did so good!" Niall said picking Irelyn up, and they all walked out to the car.
They got home, and Irelyn went running into the living room happy to be back. "How'd it go?" Liam asked handing Kristyn baby Isla. "She did great!" she said, and they all sat on the couch watching home videos and laughing together.
