Kristyn was married to and lived with Niall Horan, and her twin, Liam Payne, Niall's bandmate, best friend, and brother-in-law. The boys were in the world renowned band One Direction, and Kristyn was a very successful dentist who owned her own practice. Their lives got flipped upside down when they would up having two beautiful twin daughters, Kaylyn and Irelyn, as a complete surprise. Even though it was a complete surprise, Niall and Kristyn were completely elated, as they had been trying for kids for a while.
"Are you sure you're up for this?" Niall asked as Kristyn got dressed into her scrubs. "I'm sure, Niall. I wouldn't do anything that would hurt me, I really feel fine. Plus, since we didn't know we were having kids, I didn't exactly have another dentist on standby. It's going to be okay, I promise," Kristyn said kissing Niall on the nose. "Well, what about me?" Niall asked with a nervous laugh. "You'll do just fine, Niall! You do great with Theo! Liam is here too, he will help you. You're going to be fine! It's all okay," Kristyn laughed at her nervous husband. "Okay, okay. You're right. I can do this. You can do this. We can do this," Niall said standing up and running a hand nervously through his hair. "Yes, we can. Now, calm down," Kristyn said giving her pacing husband one last kiss before she grabbed her keys off the dresser. "I love you so much!" Niall called to her as she was walking out the door. "I love you so much!" Kristyn replied, and then she was off to work.
Kristyn decided during one of her breaks to review files, and she smiled as Liam and Niall were on the top of the list. "My favorite patients," she said to herself while looking at their files. She noticed that Niall and Liam were both due for their six-month cleaning, and so she picked up her phone to call him. "Hey, babe! Is everything still going well at work? You still feel good?" Niall asked as he answered the phone. "Everything is going great. I still feel fine. How's everything at home?" Kristyn asked as she fiddled with a pen on her desk. "Everything's good. The babies were just fed, and they're awake for now," Niall said looking over at Liam who had Kaylyn in his arms, and Niall was bouncing Irelyn in his arms. "Well, good. I was actually calling to tell you that you and Liam are both due for your six-month cleaning. You guys should both come in and go ahead and get them done," Kristyn said. "What should I do with the twins, since we are both due for a cleaning?" Niall asked as Irelyn started to drift off to sleep. "You can bring them in! I miss my babies," Kristyn said, and Niall looked over at Liam and Kaylyn. "Okay, babe! We will be there shortly," Niall said before saying their goodbyes, and Liam and Niall loaded them up in the car.
Kristyn heard the office door chimes go off, and she heard everyone starting cooing and awing. She knew the boys were there, so she stood up and met them as they were walking through the door from the waiting room. "Oh my goodness! How tiny!" an assistant said. "Can we hold them, Kristyn?" a hygienist asked. "Of course!" Kristyn said picking Kaylyn up from her car seat first and handing her off, and then doing the same with Irelyn. The assistants and hygienists passed them around the room, and Kristyn, Niall, and Liam chatted for a bit as they supervised the babies being held. "Well, I guess we need to get started then," Kristyn said looking at her watch. "We can watch them while you are doing Liam and Niall's cleanings!" one of Kristyn's assistants said. "Yes, we would be happy too!" another one agreed. "Okay! That would be great!" Kristyn said, and then led the boys to an exam room after thanking the two of her assistants.
"Okay, boys. Liam, go ahead and sit in the chair for me," Kristyn said as she turned on the overhead light, and then she outfitted herself with a mask and gloves. "Open for me," she said grabbing her explorer and mirror and quickly looked at each of Liam's teeth. "Okay, you just need two cavities filled," Kristyn said, and Liam nodded as Kristyn prepared the syringes. "Open nice and wide. Small pinch in 1,2,3," she said as she numbed the areas. "Great! I'll start now!" she said as she drilled out and filled Liam's cavities. "All done, Li! Niall, you're up," Kristyn said leaning the chair up for Liam. "Thanks, sis," Liam said. "No problem!" Kristyn said as she changed out her gloves and tools. Kristyn wasted no time and went straight to checking Niall's teeth. "Looks like you only need one filling, baby," she said, and Niall nodded. "Same thing with that small pinch. 1,2,3," she said, and then started fixing Niall's cavity. "Okay! Good job, guys!" Kristyn said leaning Niall up as she threw away her mask and gloves and put the tools in the machine to be disinfected. "Thank you, babe!" Niall said kissing her quickly, and then the three of them all went back out to get the twins.
"Thank you again for watching them," Kristyn said taking Kaylyn, because she's a mommy's girl, and Niall took Irelyn, because she's a daddy's girl. "No problem at all!" the assistants said getting back to work as Liam, Niall, and Kristyn went to sit in her office for a bit before she had to get back to work. "So, everything's been going good?" Kristyn asked as she went to sit in her desk chair and held Kaylyn on her chest. "Yep! Just like you said this morning. Liam has been a big help," Niall said as he held Irelyn. "Thank you, Liam!" Kristyn said looking at her twin. "It's no problem at all!" Liam said. The three of them sat for a bit and talked, and then Niall brought Irelyn over and laid her on Kristyn's chest too. Kristyn leaned down and kissed both of them. "I don't want to let them go!" Kristyn said with a laugh, and Niall smiled at her. "They will see you in a couple of hours when you close the office and get home," Niall said, and Kristyn nodded. "You're right," Kristyn said and kissed them one last time. Niall came over and picked up Kaylyn first, and he gently put her in her car seat. Liam came over and got Irelyn and put her in her car seat next. "I'll see you soon, baby," Niall said coming over to kiss Kristyn after both girls were secure in their car seats, and then they left the office. Kristyn sighed as she went back to work, but really she just wanted to be with her family at home.
Kristyn saw the clock finally strike time to close, so Kristyn went and quickly cleaned up the office, and practically ran out to her car she was so excited. Upon arriving home, she was greeted by Niall holding and bouncing their baby girls around the kitchen. "Hey!" Kristyn said kissing Niall. "Hey, babe!" Niall said kissing her back, and she kissed each of her babies quickly before heading up to change out of her scrubs. Kristyn speed changed, and then ran back downstairs and sat next to Niall. Kristyn took Kaylyn from Niall, and the two of them sat there and held their babies happily. They kept looking at them, and they were absolutely in love. "How did we get so lucky to get two gorgeous girls?" Kristyn asked Niall as she looked at them lovingly. "Because their mommy is so pretty," Niall replied to Kristyn. Kristyn smiled and blushed as Niall leaned over and kissed her.
The two of them sat for quite some time, and they decided it was time for bed. They brought the girls up to their room, and laid them down gently in their bassinets. Niall and Kristyn climbed into bed, and he pulled her close and played with her hair as they laid silently. "I love you," he said to her. "I love you," she said, and then the two of them fell asleep themselves.
