Hope you are all well! Much love!Kristyn had just gotten back home to the UK from completing dental school in Nashville, and she had gotten her own office and was working already. She was sharing a house with her twin brother, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan, Liam's bandmate and both of their close friend. One day, Kristyn was at work while the boys of One Direction were in the studio finishing up some stuff. Liam had realized that Niall wasn't his normal chipper self; he was quiet, and looked like he may be in some pain or upset. "Ni, what's wrong, mate? You're not acting like yourself," Liam asked after sitting next to Niall on the couch in the studio. "Nothing," Niall said but Liam wasn't convinced at all. Liam gave him a look, and Niall knew Liam knew that something was wrong. "Some of my teeth are hurting," Niall finally confessed, and all of the boys looked at him as they heard him finally admitting what was wrong. Right about that time, Simon came walking into the studio room. "Hey boys!" Simon greeted as he walked in not wanting to deliver the news he was about to share. "Hey," the boys said directing their attention to him. "So, I happened to be looking on my calendar, and realized it's time for your boys six-month dental cleanings, so I just got off the phone with Kristyn and set all of your appointments up for later today," Simon told, and three out of the four boys went silent. Liam wasn't afraid of the dentist, because he knew that Kristyn wouldn't hurt him, she was a great dentist; however, all of the other boys were absolutely terrified. "Okay," Liam answered on behalf of the other silenced by fear members, and he stood up. "Come on, boys. Let's go," Liam said gathering all of the boys to the car. "I promise, Kristyn won't hurt you, guys! She's a great dentist!" Liam tried to comfort as they headed off to Kristyn's office.
The drive was silent as Niall, Louis, and Harry were very anxious, but Liam continued to try and assure them that everything was going to be perfectly fine. The boys shuffled out of the car, and Liam walked ahead as the other boys took their precious time going in. The receptionist knew Liam was Kristyn's brother, so she allowed him to go to Kristyn's office where she was taking a break, and tell her they were all there. Liam made his way to Kristyn's office door, and could hear her playing "Eye of the Tiger." He smiled in nostalgia as he recognized the song playing really well: him and Kristyn had grown up on that song, and he remembered all of the fond memories of him and her dancing around to it. Liam knocked on the door, and Kristyn turned the music down a bit. "Come in," she said from the other side of the door. "Hey! We are all here," Liam said and Kristyn smiled at him. "Okay! Thanks for telling me, I'll be right out!" Kristyn said standing and gathering her stuff. "I like the choice of music you're playing," Liam said before walking out with a smile, and Kristyn smiled back at him.
Kristyn shut her office door, and then walked out to the waiting room where all the boys were sitting. "Hey guys!" Kristyn said hugging them quickly, and then opening the door back up. "Follow me," she smiled and all four boys walked behind her as she led them to a room. She flipped the lights on, and the boys all came into the room and sat in the chairs that were lined against the wall. "I'll start with Liam," Kristyn said knowing that he wasn't afraid of the dentist. Liam moved to the dental chair, and Kristyn leaned him back while she was putting some gloves on. The boys watched her closely as she started by looking everything over. "Everything looks great! We will start the cleaning," Kristyn said putting down her mirror and explorer. She breezed through Liam with no problems, and he was done in no time. "Great! You are all done!" Kristyn said sitting him up, and then waved Harry over. "Thanks, sis," Liam said and moved to where Harry was previously sitting. "Okay, Harry, I'm just going to start with looking," Kristyn said after changing out tools and her gear, and Harry anxiously let her do what she needed. "Everything looks perfect. Cleaning and you'll be good to go," Kristyn explained and Harry was relieved to hear he didn't need any additional dental work. She picked her next tools up, and Harry eyed her nervously. "You're alright. This won't hurt at all," she said and Harry nodded and opened up for her. "You're doing great," she encouraged halfway through, and talked him through everything she was doing. "Great job, Harry! Alright, Lou, you're up," she said patting the dental chair, and changing everything out. Louis was always a little bit more reluctant when it came to things like this, but he came and sat down with no struggle. "Okay. Same thing, I'm just looking over everything," Kristyn said and Louis opened up for her. "Great," she said looking and seeing he also didn't need any additional work. She moved quickly to cleaning his teeth, and he was done in no time. "Alright, Niall," she smiled and re-gloved, put another mask on, and changed the tools out for the fourth time. "Okay, open nice and wide for me," she smiled trying to make him feel more comfortable as she could see how nervous he was. She looked around his mouth, and she found six cavities that were going to need to be filled. "Alright, it looks like you're going to need six cavities filled," she frowned pulling her mask down on her chin, and sitting her explorer and mirror back on the tray. "Six cavities?" Niall asked and Kristyn could see the fear in his eyes. "Yeah, I'm so sorry," she said feeling awful when she got an idea to try and make him feel better. "Do you want to see how I put the numbing needle together, so you can see it's not so bad?" Kristyn asked. "Sure," Niall said rubbing his sweaty hands off on his jeans. "Okay," she smiled and turned around to grab the syringe she hadn't set up yet. She grabbed the needle part, as well as the lidocaine, and sat Niall up where he could watch what she was doing. "Boys, you wanna come over and watch?" Kristyn asked and they all stood up and gathered around her as she demonstrated how she set the needles up.
