Niall and Kristyn Horan were happily married with their three-year-old daughter, Kaylyn. They had enjoyed a wonderful day of hanging out around the house together, and it finally came time to put Kaylyn to bed. "Goodnight, princess. I love you!" Niall said as they put her down for bed, and he kissed and hugged her goodnight. "I love you, too!" she told her daddy. "Goodnight, baby. I love you!" Kristyn said following suit in hugging and kissing her goodnight. "I love you too, Mommy!" Kaylyn said before they turned her light off, and then went to their own bed. "Let's watch Fuller House," Niall smiled as Kristyn put her pajamas on, and turned the beside lamp off. "Okay!" Kristyn said scrolling through Netflix, and putting it on. "I love you!" Niall said cuddling Kristyn close. "I love you, babe!" Kristyn said throwing an arm over his torso as they watched the show and cuddled.
After a few episodes, Niall and Kristyn had fallen asleep. Kristyn was sleeping peacefully when she kept hearing "mommy" called out. Kristyn was pulled from her sleep as she repositioned, just thinking she had been hearing it in her dream, but that's when she heard it again. "Mommy!" she heard Kaylyn calling down the hall, and Kristyn's eyes fluttered open. Fuller House was still flashing on the TV as she gathered her bearings, and realized Kaylyn was really calling for her. Kristyn hopped out of bed immediately and ran to her daughter's room when she realized what was going on. She was greeted by her little girl sitting in her bed crying. "What's wrong?" Kristyn asked frantically as she ran over to Kaylyn's bed. "I had a nightmare," Kaylyn cried as Kristyn pulled her into her lap, and Kaylyn buried her face in Kristyn's t-shirt. "Oh, babe, I'm sorry! What was it about?" Kristyn asked trying to soothe her upset daughter by holding her close and playing with her hair. "Daddy and you got into a big argument, and then he said he wanted a divorce, and then he left us and never came back," Kaylyn cried as she pulled away to look at her mom with tears rolling down her face. Meanwhile, Niall had woken up when he realized the bed felt cold without Kristyn there. He felt around for her, and realized she wasn't in there, and then he heard commotion down the hall. He made his way down the hall, trying to get his eyes adjusted to the light, and walked into Kaylyn's room. He was rubbing his eyes with his hands, which made him look like a little kid almost, and Kristyn always thought it was quite cute when Niall was sleepy or had just woken up, because he always did that. That's when Niall caught a glimpse of his crying daughter, and came over to sit next to them on her bed immediately. "What's the matter?" he asked starting to panic, and they could hear the concern laced in his voice. "She had a dream that you and I got into an argument, and you told me you wanted a divorce, and you left us and never came back," Kristyn said with a frown, trying to stop her own tears from coming out. Niall took Kaylyn into his own lap, and made sure she could see his face. "Oh, baby, that would never ever happen!" Niall said wiping her tears gently with his long-sleeved shirt. "Mommy and Daddy love eachother so much, and daddy would never leave us," Kristyn said catching her attention. "Absolutely! I love Mommy with my entire heart, and I love you! I would never ever leave you guys!" Niall smiled at his little girl, but was biting back tears as well. Kaylyn wanted to believe her parents, she really did, but she wasn't so sure. Her dream had felt so real, she was still visibly shaken up and they could tell she wasn't 100% on board with the thought. Kristyn looked at Niall before she got an idea. "Do you want to come sleep with us?" she smiled at Kaylyn. "Yes!" Kaylyn said without missing a beat. "Okay, then!" Niall said lifting his tiny little girl, and they all headed back to Niall and Kristyn's room. Niall plopped Kaylyn right down between him and Kristyn, and they all cuddled really closely. "Goodnight, girls. I love you!" Niall said snuggling them even closer. "I love you two!" Kristyn said back. "I love you too, Mommy and Daddy!" Kaylyn said before they all drifted off into a goodnights sleep.
The next day, Niall and Kristyn didn't leave each other's sides. They spent the whole entire afternoon together, so they could show Kaylyn that her Mommy and Daddy truly loved each other so much, and give her peace of mind that nothing was going to change that. After an afternoon of playing outside together, cuddling on the couch and watching TV, and a bunch of other family activities, it was finally time to put Kaylyn back to bed again. "Alright, Kaylyn. It's bedtime," Kristyn smiled as she checked the time. "Let's go tuck you in," Niall said throwing her over his shoulder, and walking up the stairs with her laughing the whole way. "Did you have a good day today?" Kristyn asked as she tucked her daughter in. "Yes!" Kaylyn answered and hugged Kristyn as she leaned down to hug and kiss her. "I know that dream was scary for you, but you know that Mommy and Daddy will always love each other!" Niall added as he hugged and kissed her goodnight. "Nothing could ever change that! We love each other very much!" Kristyn added as she started to walk towards the door. "Absolutely!" Niall said joining her. "I love you," Kristyn said to Kaylyn. "I love you," Niall said to her as well. "I love you both!" Kaylyn said as Kristyn and Niall turned her light off. Kaylyn smiled and fell asleep happily knowing that nothing would ever happen to their family.
