Hope you are well! Much love!

Kristyn was overdue for a dentist/orthodontist appointment, and she needed a good bit of work done. At her last appointment, they had told her she had 30 cavities that needed to be filled, and also needed her braces tightened. Thing was, Kristyn was absolutely terrified to go back, because her dentist was absolutely awful, and made her terrified of dentists and needles. However, as time went on, Kristyn couldn't take the pain anymore. She gave up the fight, and went ahead and scheduled an appointment. She sighed after she got off the phone. She took a breath to try and steady her already pounding heart, and get her rapid breathing under control. If she got this nervous over just making an appointment, she could only imagine how it was going to be when she actually got there.

A few days later, Kristyn got up and drove herself to the office. She signed herself in, and then went to go sit anxiously in the waiting room seating. Kristyn's knee bounced up and down as she looked around the room. She could hear the sound of drills and things through the door, and she started to shake even more. Her palms were sweating, she was shaking, her heart was pounding, and she was very close to getting up and walking out. The idea crossed her mind again when the door opened, and an assistant called her name. "Kristyn?" the nice woman asked, and Kristyn's heart dropped. She slowly got out of the chair, and stabilized her nervously shaking legs, and then walked through the door with the lady. She followed the assistant down the hall and to an office room. "Okay! Dr. Horan will be in shortly!" she said as she put some gloves on, and noticed Kristyn's confused look. "Your old dentist retired, Dr. Horan is the new dentist we have to fill his spot, he actually looks around your age," she smiled as she walked over to Kristyn. Kristyn nodded and felt the tiniest bit better that she didn't have to deal with her old dentist, but was also more nervous in a way, because she didn't know what to expect. The dental assistant set up Kristyn with a bib, and then put in some numbing gel sticks as they waited for Dr. Horan.

A few minutes later, Dr. Horan came in, and Kristyn tensed up immediately. She knew instantly just who he was. The actual Niall Horan was her dentist. Kristyn tried not to freak out at the fact that Niall Horan was her dentist, and she tried to get herself calmed down. "Hi, I'm Dr. Horan! But you can just call me Niall" he said as he shook her hand, and Niall started to look over her file. "Alright, so we are doing 30 fillings, and tightening your braces," Niall said looking at her with a smile, and Kristyn nodded since she had all of the sticks in her mouth keeping her from talking. "Awesome, we will get started in just a second then," Niall said sitting on his stool, sliding on some gloves and a mask, and turning the overhead light on. "I'm going to give you some laughing gas, and then we will get started," Niall smiled as he pulled the laughing gas nub over her nose hoping it would help, since he knew that she was horrified of the dentist and needles. Niall then took out the numbing gel sticks and picked up a needle from the tray. Kristyn looked at the needle, and tried not to cry. "Alright, Kristyn, open wide for me. I'm just going to give you the first shot," Niall said and Kristyn was still trying to bite back tears. She was doing okay until the needle touched her gums, and that's when Kristyn lost it. Kristyn bawled as Niall administered the shot, and he felt awful. "Everything is okay! You're doing great!" Niall said as he noticed Kristyn was upset. He kept repeating it to her as he went along. "Just a few more, you're still doing great, Kristyn! Stay calm for me," Niall said as he gave her a few more shots.

After 30 shots, Kristyn was finally fully numbed. "Awesome job, Kristyn! We are all done with the shots," Niall said as he sat the last syringe down. Kristyn sighed in relief at him finishing, and then Niall got started on her fillings. He worked to get all 30 of them done, and finally finished a bit later. "Alright, we are done with that! Now, I'm just going to tighten your braces, and you'll be good to go," Niall informed Kristyn with a smile, and he did a quick tightening. "Great! We are all done!" Niall said as he leaned Kristyn up in the chair. "You did great!" he said as he pulled a card off the counter, and wrote his number on it. "Here's my number, if you have anything happen with any of the work, don't hesitate to call or text me," Niall said as she got up. Kristyn gave him a nod and then left the office.

When Kristyn got home, she went to take a nap because she was exhausted from the events of the day. She laid down and was sleeping great when she woke up to her phone buzzing beside her. Kristyn didn't even check to see who it was, she just reached over and clicked the answer button. "Hello?" she asked groggily, and was surprised to hear Niall's voice on the other end of the phone. "Hey Kristyn, it's Niall! I was just calling to see how you were feeling, and check on you," Niall said cheerfully. "I'm doing good! Little sore, but that's to be expected," Kristyn laughed as she sat up. "Well, good! Don't forget, you can call me if anything goes wrong! I hope you feel better!" Niall said to her. "Okay! Thank you for checking on me!" Kristyn said with a smile. "Of course! Have a great rest of your day!" Niall said. "You too!" Kristyn said before hanging up, and then smiling to herself as she thought about him.

The next day, Kristyn sat down to enjoy some lunch. Everything was going fine until she took another bite of her meal, and immediately heard her tooth crack. "Ouch!" she said and grabbed her face. After a minute of thinking what to do, she remembered that Niall said to call or text if anything went wrong, so she grabbed her phone and sent him a quick text that she thought her filling may have come out. Kristyn's phone buzzed right away with a text from Niall saying, "Oh no, Kristyn! Come in and I'll take a look at it!" Kristyn's face dropped at the text. She really didn't want to go back to the dentist. She sighed knowing she needed to go in and get taken care of, so she grabbed her keys and drove to the office anyway. "Welcome back, Kristyn," Niall said as he took her straight back. "Thank you," she said with a nervous laugh as he leaned her back. "Let's see here," he said looking at the tooth, and seeing the filling had indeed come out. "Well, the filling did come out, so you'll need to get that fixed," Niall said with a frown. "Does that mean a shot?" Kristyn asked as she shuttered with fear. "Yes, but it's just a tiny one," Niall smiled at her, but Kristyn wasn't so sure. "It's just a quick pinch, I promise," he smiled getting the needle. "Alright, 1-2-3," he said and it was done before Kristyn knew it. Niall worked quickly to get her filling finished, and she was good to go. "You're all done, Kristyn! I have a question though...would you like to go on a date?" Niall asked as he slid off his gloves. "Yes!" Kristyn replied slightly caught off guard.

Later that night, they went on their first date together. They sat and were having a wonderful time over dinner, and getting to know each other. "So, why are you so scared of the dentist?" Niall asked interested. "Well, he just used to hurt me, and was really awful," Kristyn answered before going into more detail about what her old dentist did to her before Niall took his spot, and Niall's jaw dropped. "Anytime you have to come in for something, I will never hurt you, I promise!" Niall said feeling terrible for what Kristyn had to go through prior to him. "I appreciate that," Kristyn smiled knowing she could trust him. Niall worked up some courage, and then went on to ask her, "I know it's our first date, but I really really like you...would you like to be my girlfriend?" Kristyn smiled at the question, and of course she said yes. "So, what made you become a dentist? I thought you liked singing and touring," Kristyn asked him after they had gotten up to walk in the sunset. "It's just a little side job that I have while I'm not touring," he explained, and they spent the rest of the night enjoying getting to know each other, and watching the sunset at the park. After that night, Niall became Kristyn's long term dentist, and eventually got her out of her fear of the dentist. It wasn't long after that, that Niall and Kristyn got married and lived a very happy life together.
