Hope you are all well! Much love!

After a few months of Liam being in casts from breaking his right wrist and left ankle, it was finally time to go get them off. Liam was terrified of the idea of it. He was nervous to see if his bones were going to be back to normal, and even more nervous for the process of getting them off, because he didn't know what to expect. "Liam, come on! Let's go get those casts off!" Harry called up to Liam who was making his way down the stairs. "Coming," he grumbled. It was way too early to be up for this. Liam had overheard Louis talking about how they had taken his cast off years ago, and it involved a saw, but that's all he heard; he didn't bother asking anymore questions, because he was too afraid to hear anymore details. After the boys got in the car, they noticed that Liam had been extremely quiet. "You okay, Li?" Niall asked, and Liam looked at him. "Yeah, just early. M' tired," he said looking back out the window, and Niall nodded but was still concerned. As they drove to the hospital to get them removed, Liam kept thinking about how Louis had said they use a saw and wondered what it could possibly mean.

When they got there, Zayn noticed that Liam was shaking like a leaf. "Liam, are you okay?" he went to ask, but the nurse called them back before Liam could answer. "You can just sit on the bed, and the doctor will be right in," she smiled and left. Louis helped Liam get settled, and he could feel sweat on his hand. "You're sweating and shaking, are you okay?" Louis asked. "I'm just a bit cold," Liam lied. "Liam, it's summer," Harry pointed out and Liam sighed. "I'm afraid, okay?" Liam said and the boys looked at him confused. "Why, love? This is a piece of cake," Niall said and Liam looked at the floor. "I overheard Louis saying that they use a saw," Liam explained and Louis laughed a little. "Li, it's a special saw. It tickles if anything, but it doesn't hurt at all!" Louis said and Liam looked up at him. "Really?" Liam asked and Louis smiled and nodded. "Yes! It just vibrates, it's really gentle, and it's designed not to hurt at all. It's really dull, I guess it's not really a saw if you think about it," Louis explained and Liam felt a little better. "I'm still nervous about them coming off though. What if my bones aren't healed, or if they still hurt?" Liam asked and the boys all crowded around him. "It won't, love! If it does, the doctor will put you back in a cast, but you heard him say that they expected it to be perfectly healed," Niall said rubbing Liam's back. "You're right...I just am afraid," Liam said and Zayn patted his shoulder. "There's nothing to worry about," Harry said. "Worst case scenario, they may put you back in a cast for a little longer, but they were really clean breaks, Li. I don't think you'll have to worry about it," Niall said.

The doctor walked in seconds later, and the boys moved back but made sure Liam could still see them, and Harry stayed and held Liam's hand. "Hi boys!" he said washing his hands. "Hey!" they all greeted. "How are we all doing?" he asked sitting down on the chair and pulling out his paper work. "Good!" they all said back and he nodded. "Great!" he said as he looked through everything. "So, how has everything been feeling?" he asked Liam. "Good," Liam said nervously. "Great! No pain or discomfort?" he asked. "Nope," Liam said and the doctor nodded. "Okay, I'll just going to have you wiggle your fingers," he said and Liam did. "Good! And your toes," he said. "Awesome!" he said and then he got the saw out that Louis had talked about. "Now, I'm just going to use this to take them off. It's really gentle, it just tickles," he said and Liam squeezed Harry's hand as the doctor approached.

The doctor started the saw and gently started removing the casts. "Awesome!" the doctor said sitting the saw down, and then fully removing both casts. "That feels so weird," Liam said as they came off. "It will feel strange for a few days until you are used to not having them on anymore," he smiled as he sat the casts aside. "Now, I'm just going to look at everything and make sure it all is working properly," the doctor said and Liam looked at Harry who gave him a reassuring nod. "Just start off by pointing your ankle and then lifting it up towards the ceiling a few times," the doctor instructed, and Liam did it perfectly. "Awesome! Now, go around in circles," he said and Liam did. "Great! Push on my palm with your foot," he said and Liam did great. He checked to make sure it all felt nice and straight, and made sure that everything felt normal to Liam. He then checked his range of motion and strength in his wrist, and checked everything out.

"Great! Everything looks wonderful! Just take it easy, and you are good to go!" the doctor said and shook everyone's hands before walking them out. "See, everything went great!" Niall said as they all walked out to the car. "It did! Thank you guys!" Liam said. "Of course, Liam!" they all said before heading out to get celebratory ice cream.
