Liam drove as Niall slept in the passenger seat beside him. He felt awful for his boyfriend. He knew how scared Niall was of the dentist, and he hated to see his boyfriend so scared. He was just glad they got everything done at once, so Niall didn't have to come back a bunch of times. "Hey Ni, we are here," Liam said as he gently nudged Niall when he pulled into the driveway. Niall looked pained in his sleep, and Liam looked at him sympathetically. Niall never shifted, so Liam went around to the other side of the car, and carried Niall in the house. He knew Niall would be exhausted from everything, and he was glad that Niall was finally getting some rest. Liam laid Niall down on the couch, and then went over all of the notes Dr. Craig had given. He said that Niall would most likely be in some pretty bad pain when all the numbing wore off, because of everything he had to get done. Liam made a mental note of that, and went ahead and sat Niall out some medicine and water for when he woke up.
About an hour later, Liam was sat on the other couch watching TV as he waited for Niall to wake up. Niall finally shifted and stretched out as his eyes fluttered open. Niall's hand immediately went to his mouth, and he had a pained expression come over him. "Hey babe!" Liam said getting up, and sitting on the couch Niall was on. "Hurting?" he asked as Niall grimaced as another wave of pain came over him. Niall nodded and Liam went to grab the medicine he laid out earlier. "Here you are, love," Liam said as he handed Niall the pills, and Niall happily took them. "Thanks," Niall mumbled but Liam couldn't help but notice the tears that were rolling down Niall's face. "What's the matter, baby?" Liam asked frantically. "Hurts bad," Niall said holding his cheek. "I'm so sorry, how can I help?" Liam asked panicked at Niall's pain. Niall started crying harder, and Liam had Niall sit up, and then Liam slid under Niall, and Niall rested his head in Liam's lap. "It's okay, Ni. I know it hurts," Liam said gently tracing his finger over Niall's cheeks. "Hurts so bad," Niall cried more, and Liam's heart broke into a million pieces. "It's alright, babe. That medicine will help in just a bit," Liam said playing with Niall's hair to soothe him. "Wanna watch a movie to get your mind off of it?" Liam asked trying to get Niall's mind off the throbbing pain in his mouth. Niall nodded and Liam hopped up to put a movie on for Niall, and then went to go warm him up some tea. Liam grabbed Niall some apple sauce, since Niall hadn't eaten all day, and then went back to his ailing boyfriend. "I brought you some stuff, Ni," Liam said as he walked back in the room. Niall looked over at Liam, and smiled gently at how caring his boyfriend was. "Thank you, babe," Niall said as he sat up, and took the cup from Liam. He sipped it slowly, and it helped relax him slightly. "Here," Liam sat feeding Niall some apple sauce. Liam wiped the tears that were still rolling down Niall's face, and kissed his nose gently after Niall finished the food. Liam pulled Niall close to cuddle, and he rubbed his back as he massaged Niall's sore mouth gently. "I love you," Niall said to Liam. "I love you too!" Liam said as he continued to take care of his boyfriend. Niall was so thankful he had someone that loved him so much, and he couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend.
