Hope you are all well! Much love!

Sophia and Harry (a dentist) had met a few years ago after Sophia moved to London. They had fallen in love instantly, and now they had a little girl named, Vicky. Harry and Sophia absolutely adored their little girl, so when Harry noticed that Vicky's cheek was a little swollen, he got worried instantly. A few days passed, and her cheek wasn't getting any better, so the following week when Harry went back to work, he decided to give her a check-up to see what was going on. "Sophia, would you mind to bring Vicky by the office today after work, so I can check out Vicky's cheek?" Harry asked as he walked down the stairs tucking his shirt in. "Of course! Have a great day," she said kissing him as he walked out to his car, and took off to work super early.

Sophia was a little nervous about how the appointment would go. Vicky was only three, and this was going to be her very first dentist appointment. She checked the time, and decided to go ahead and take her to Harry's office, because he would be closing in a few minutes. "Vicky, do you want to go see dad?" Sophia asked her little girl, and Vicky looked up at her with a smile. "Dad!" she said back, and Sophia laughed as she helped slide her daughter's shoes on her tiny feet, and they headed out to the car to go to the appointment. As Sophia arrived, the last patient was walking out, and Harry was standing at the door waiting for them. "Dad!" Vicky yelled excitedly as she ran to jump into his arms. "Hi love!" he said closing and locking the door after they all walked inside, so they were the only ones there. Everything was going well, until Harry carried Vicky into one of the dental exam rooms, and Vicky caught sight of all the scary looking things in the room. "It's okay, Vicky! Shh, please don't cry," Harry said bouncing her a little bit, and holding her close as he comforted her. "It's alright, nothing will hurt you!" he said and rubbed her back, and eventually got her calmed down some. "I'm going to sit you in this fun chair that moves up and down, and mommy is going to come hold your hand, okay?" Harry smiled at his little girl, and she agreed. "Okay, here we are," he said sitting her in the seat, and moving it to lean back, which caused Vicky to laugh. "Alright, love, will you open your mouth for me, please?" Harry asked his daughter as Sophia grabbed Vicky's hand, and Vicky did as her father asked. "Great job, Vicky! I'm just going to look at your teeth," he explained sweetly as he took his tools, and searched for the problem. "I see the problem," Harry said with a sad sigh. "What is it?" Sophia asked at her husband. "She has to have a tooth extracted," he said and Sophia could tell how bad Harry felt. Harry hated the idea of causing Vicky any pain, but he knew it had to be done. Harry sat for a moment as he tried to assess the situation. "Okay, Vicky. I'm going to take one of your teeth out," Harry said and Vicky didn't know what that meant right away, but when she saw the needle in her dad's hand, she began to panic. Immediately, Vicky started sobbing and trying to get out of the chair. "It's okay, love," he said as he tried to calm her down. At this point, Harry had gotten even more sad at seeing his daughter upset, and he was starting to get anxious himself. Harry went to give her the numbing shot, and Vicky squirmed and cried as he tried to give it to her. This made Sophia cry at the whole situation too. She felt horrible for Vicky being scared, and felt horrible that Harry was so sad too. Sophia jumped into action to help hold her, so Harry could give it to her, but giving her the shot was the worst. Harry worked quickly to get her tooth extracted, but Vicky continued to squirm and cry the whole time. Sophia did her best to keep Vicky calm, and then they finally got the tooth extracted. "You're done, Vicky! It's okay!" Sophia said picking her up out of the chair, and rocking her back and forth to get her calmed down. Luckily, Vicky fell fast asleep in the car after exhausting herself from crying, and they all arrived at home.

When they got home, Harry and Sophia sat on the couch and were both tired from the day's happenings. Sophia had noticed that Harry had barely said a word since doing the procedure, and she kept looking over at him periodically to make sure he was okay. She happened to look over during a commercial, and saw that tears were coming down Harry's face. "Harry, what's wrong?" she said slightly shocked at him crying. "I feel horrible. I don't ever want Vicky to be afraid of me or mad at me, because of having to have dental work. I don't ever want to hurt her. I feel terrible that I upset her, and had to give her a shot to get everything done. I hate that I scared her so badly," Harry explained as Sophia moved to hug him. "Harry, you are the best dad and dentist that Vicky could ask for. She isn't mad or scared at you!" Sophia said rubbing Harry's back. "Are you sure?" Harry asked sounding like a little kid. "I'm positive! She knows you'd never hurt her, she was just afraid of everything happening. She has never been to the dentist, it was a new experience, and she was just nervous at everything going on," Sophia said pulling away to look him in the eyes, and smiled at him. "Thank you, Sophia," Harry said as he wiped the remaining tears off his face, and kissed his wife. They were interrupted as Vicky came downstairs after waking up from her nap, and cuddling up to Harry, and he knew everything was okay.
