Prompt: Brianna is having loads of fun with her sisters, but suddenly gets a massive toothache. Casey and Nia take Brianna to a small room they had turned into an office in their shared house, and Brianna finds out they're dentists. Upon finding out, she runs off to hide. Rena and Miranda find her hiding in the closet, and comfort her as best they can. They promise to stay with Brianna the whole time, and took her back to Casey and Nia; they are the only ones that knew the terrifying story of why Brianna hates the dentist and needles. Nia gets frustrated when Brianna won't cooperate, but when Brianna has a break down, Nia feels terrible. She finds out about her huge fear, so Casey and Nia take it slow, being sure to explain everything to her as they do it. After the procedure, Miranda and Brianna have spark between them, and they get a first glimpse on a secret they have kept for years- they like each other.

Brianna was having tons of fun with her big sisters- Rena and Nia. She had just recently moved into the Hey Violet household. She took the spare bedroom, and was extremely excited to be living with her sisters. She had missed them so much when they had been on tour. They decided on a game of hide-and-seek, and Brianna had just run to hide. She took cover in a nearby closet, and shoved herself under a load of clothes and boxes in the back. She giggled to herself when she heard footsteps near the closet door, and put her hand over her mouth to keep them from hearing. When her hand clasped over her mouth, she felt a massive amount of pain come from her tooth. Brianna groaned in pain, but kept quiet so she wouldn't be found. A few minutes later, Rena opened the door and screamed "gotcha!" Brianna laughed at her sister's eagerness, but that only added to her toothache. "Hey, can I get some medicine?" Brianna asked her sisters. "Sure! What for?" Nia asked heading to the kitchen. "I have an awful toothache," she explained. "Hey. Let me take a look at that," Nia said waving Casey over, and explaining her sister's toothache. Brianna followed Nia and Casey into a little room that she hadn't been in before. Once she got a good glance, she realized that it was somewhat of a makeshift dental office. "Woah! What's this?" Brianna asked apprehensively. "Just a room we made so Casey and I can use instead of having to go into the office every time we need to get some dental work done," Nia explained, but Brianna was still confused. "You should be going to an actual trained dentist though, shouldn't you?" Brianna asked. "We are dentists," Casey explained turning on the exam light above the dental chair. "Huh?" Brianna asked surprised at this new found information. "How'd that happen?" Brianna asked. "It's actually a funny story. We both had talked about how we have always wanted to be dentists, so Miranda and Rena dared us to do it, and we actually completed schooling during our free time from tour," Nia explained patting the chair. Brianna backed slightly out the door, she was secretly terrified of the dentist. Not many people knew that though. As Nia and Casey set up the rest of their tools, she ran right out the door.

After several minutes of looking, Miranda opened Brianna's closet door, and saw her shivering in the back. "She's in here," she hollered to Rena, and Rena came walking in. "We are so sorry we didn't tell you," Rena said. Rena and Miranda were the only people that knew about Brianna's fear of dentists. It had been brought up in a conversation several months prior, and Brianna had explained a horror story about a cavity getting fixed, and how it went way wrong. Brianna shuttered at the thought of the needle that the dentist put in the wrong place, and him drilling into a unnumbed tooth, and the agonizing pain it caused. Miranda and Rena sat down in the floor outside the small closet, and tried to coax Brianna out. "I- I can't do it," Brianna choked out through her sobs that were now erupting from her body. "Oh Brianna, please calm down," Rena comforted. They both hugged her, and rocked her back and forth to try and comfort her. After Brianna had calmed down to now silent tears, the girls pulled away. "Come on. We will do it together, we will stay with you the whole time," Miranda offered. Brianna was hesitant, but before she could say no, she was being pulled toward the small dental room.

Casey and Nia stood waiting in the room for Brianna. "There she is," Nia said slightly angered. Brianna sat down in the chair, and Miranda and Rena sat down next to her. As they leaned the chair back, Brianna started to shake again. Miranda noticed, and grabbed Brianna's hand. "Okay, open wide," Nia said. Brianna immediately shook her head no catching sight of the dental tools in her hands. "Come on, Brianna! What's your deal?" Nia asked getting frustrated. That was the straw that broke the camel's back, and Brianna erupted into more sobs. Nia's face instantly grew from angry to concerned. "Oh my gosh! What's the matter?" she pleaded. "She's terrified of the dentist, Nia. She had a really bad experience one time where the dentist numbed the wrong area, and started drilling the wrong tooth, and she felt all of it. It's made her terrified of dentists and needles," Rena explained. Nia sat next to Brianna on the chair, and pulled her into a hug. "Brianna, I didn't know. I am so sorry. Don't be scared, I would never hurt you. I promise," Nia encouraged and rubbed Brianna's back. She felt awful that Brianna was scared of dentists, and she never knew. She knew that she would have to make it up to Brianna, and show her that not all dentists are bad. "Here, lean back, and I'll make sure you know everything we are going to do," Nia said, and Casey patted Brianna on the back.

"Okay, let's try this again," Casey said. Brianna now had Miranda holding one hand, and Rena holding the other. Nia and Casey started to get their tools picked back up, and to explain everything they were going to do. "Okay, we are just going to look at your teeth with this mirror," Casey said and Brianna slowly opened her mouth. After a few moments of inspecting, they saw the thing that was causing the pain. "Ah. It's a cavity," Nia said when they spotted the little black spot on the back of one of her teeth. "It's okay, Brianna. This is an easy fix. It'll take just a little numbing, and it's just a tiny pinch," Nia explained. Brianna started to get antsy, but Miranda's grip tightened on her hand to comfort her. She started to feel a little better but not much. She laid there and waited for the pain. "Okay. One, two, three," Casey said and there was a slight poke. It wasn't bad at all. They worked diligently to get it fixed, and it was no time at all.

Once finished, they leaned Brianna's chair up, and she felt pretty good. "See, that was easy," Nia said, and Brianna laughed "I am sorry, guys. I didn't mean to run away," Brianna apologized. "It's okay, sis. We know you didn't mean anything by it. I am sorry we didn't know about your fear," Nia said. "Well, thank you. You have changed my mind. I am coming back to you guys from now on!" Brianna smiled causing them to laugh. Rena, Casey, and Nia left the room leaving Miranda and Brianna. Brianna had always had a major crush on Miranda. Miranda grabbed Brianna's hand to help her off the chair. "So you're okay?" Miranda asked. "Yeah, I'm alright," Brianna answered. "You had me worried," Miranda admitted. "I'm sorry! Thank you for being there for me," Brianna said standing up and pulling her hair into a ponytail. "Anything for you," Miranda said catching Brianna's eye. Miranda looked in favor at Brianna. Brianna noticed, and smiled back. For the first time ever, Brianna and Miranda caught each other checking each other out...they left hand in hand to go join the others, and to see where this newfound love would take them.
