Kristyn lived with her husband, Niall Horan, as well as her twin, Liam Payne, who was also Niall's bandmate, best friend, and of course, brother-in-law. Kristyn was a dentist who owned her own practice, and the boys were in the band One Direction. Amongst their busy lives, Niall and Kristyn has decided a few years prior that they were ready to start a family; however, Kristyn could seem to get pregnant. After many failed attempts, Niall and Kristyn had almost given up hope, but kept trying nonetheless. Kristyn had woken up one morning feeling a little off, but she couldn't seem to place a finger on what made her feel off. She took her temperature, but she wasn't necessarily feeling bad, she just felt different. She wasn't running a fever, and since she didn't feel bad, she went on into work. Kristyn sat in her office getting some work done on her computer when she felt cramping in her stomach. "Ow!" she said audibly, caught off guard by the sensation. She put a hand on her lower abdomen, and she was confused as to why she was having some cramps. "That's strange," she thought to herself, but the cramps relieved themselves momentarily, so just shook it off. She went back to doing her work after everything returned to normal, and didn't think anymore of the random cramps.
Kristyn had went about her day as usual, and she was currently working on a patient who was getting four fillings. She was getting things done very efficiently when the cramps returned. Kristyn grabbed her stomach and sat her tools down on the tray as she stopped what she was doing. She scoot her stool away from the dental chair for a minute, and she took a deep breath to try and rid herself of the random pains that were coming back. "Are you okay?" her patient asked her as she realized that Kristyn seemed to be in pain. "Yes!" Kristyn said trying not to worry her patient as the cramps were starting to let up. "Okay.." her patient still asked concerned. "It's all good," Kristyn smiled as she pulled the mask back on her face and finished up her patient.
Kristyn made her way to her office after finishing the patient, and she sat down in her office chair. She grabbed her cellphone and scrolled down to Niall's contact in her phone. She leaned her head back on the chair as she waited for Niall to answer. "Hey babe!" he greeted happily on the other side. "Hey!" Kristyn said back as he answered. "You doing okay?" Niall asked hearing slight worry from Kristyn's voice. "Well actually, the strangest thing has happened a couple of times today. I was sitting in my office on my break, and I got these random cramps that only lasted a minute or so, and then they went away. I blew it off thinking it was probably nothing, but then it came back when I was working on a patient. It's so strange!" Kristyn explained the days events, and she could tell that Niall had gotten concerned. "If it doesn't get better, we are going to the hospital," Niall said matter of factly. "No, I'm fine," Kristyn said back to him, but Niall was quick to stop her. "No, we are going if it's not better," Niall said and Kristyn sighed not wanting to argue with him. "Okay," she said, and Niall was satisfied that she agreed to go, but he hated his wife was in pain. "Okay, well I need to get back to work," Kristyn said seeing her assistant motion that another patient had come in. "Okay, I love you. Remember what I said," Niall said protectively. "Okayyy. I love you," Kristyn smiled at his serious tone. "Alright, bye," he said. "Bye," she said hanging up and going back to work.
Kristyn had to stop what she was doing several times throughout the day as the pain would come back in waves, and every time they were more intense than the last. Kristyn was almost doubled-over by the time she got home she was hurting so badly. It took all the strength she had left in her to lift herself out of the car and get into their shared house. Niall heard the door shut, and he realized that Kristyn seemed to be taking quite a bit of time getting in the living room where he was sat. "Kristyn, how are you feeling?" he asked as he walked over and seen her hand on the wall as she was slightly hunkered over. "It's worse," she said through gritted teeth, and Niall ran over to her. "Liam! Come downstairs!" Niall called up the stairs urgently. Liam came running down as soon as he heard, and he stopped when he saw them. "Kristyn is having terrible pain, help me get her to the car!" Niall said as he helped Kristyn stay standing. "Wait, Liam will you get me some other clothes?" Kristyn asked, and Liam ran up the stairs quickly to grab her something other than her scrubs. He wound up running down with a t-shirt and athletic shorts, and Niall quickly helped her change her clothes before the two of them ran her out to the car.
