Mercedes looked at him. "You can't leave here now," she said.

"Mom, I have to go to Mia's performance for a moment. Please"

In the meantime Ramiro had told Lupe what had happened. Lupe didn't know how to react. She had just gotten to know Javier a little better. "Would you like to go to the hospital" Ramiro was just asking.

Lupe looked at him. She didn't know what to say. Juanma and Mia passed the two of them to prepare for their performance.

"Did you know" Lupe asked Mia sharply. Mia looked down. Before she could answer, Juanma said: "Lupe we weren't allowed to tell you before your performance." Ramiro nodded. A tear ran down Lupe's cheek. Ramiro wanted to take her hand, but Lupe pulled it away.

Juanma took Lupe by the shoulders and pulled her away a little. He took her hand and said, "We have to believe that everything will be fine." "I want to go to the hospital," said Lupe softly. Lupe took Juanma in his arms. She needed his hold right now.

Alvaro had written Mia again. Javier was awake but very weak. He and his mother were allowed to visit him briefly. MIa went to Lupe and Juanma and told him the news. Then she showed the message to Lupe too.

"Maybe Roberto can drive Lupe just there" thought Juanma loud. "I'm looking for him" said Mia.

Fortunately, she found him quickly. The time until their Performance was getting short.

Roberto immediately agreed, he took Clara by the hand and they ran to Lupe. Ramiro had informed Mercedes. Roberto squeezed Lupes arm. "Come on, let's go".

Mia and Juanma had to get ready for their performance. Mia wasn't there with her thoughts. She kept checking her cell phone; she had written Alvaro that Lupe was coming with Roberto.

Juanma gently took the phone from her hand. "Mia, everything will be fine. Let's make him proud of you ok" Mia's cell phone beeped again. Alvaro had written that he would come to the competition with Roberto and that he would tell everything else later. Juanma had read the message with Mia. "Do you see?" He said and took Mia in his arms.

Mia relaxed a little.

Juanma held her a moment longer, "Mia we can do it ok?"

They continued to prepare for the performance.

Ramiro came just before they were called on stage.

He took his daughter in his arms and wished both of them all the best for their performance. "I negotiated a few minutes break. Alvaro will make it in time," he said to Juanma, "your mother is there too". Juanma nodded smiling "Thank you Ramiro" he said.

Then they were called. Juanma noticed that Mia was completely tense. They took their positions. Mia searched the audience for Alvaro. The music played. Juanma looked nervously at Mia. Their eyes met.

She looked back into the audience as she took steps towards Juanma. Juanma started to sing. He took her arm and whirled her around once. She did the singing then and concentrated on the movements. Then she saw him. Alvaro was in the audience. She smiled and from then on everything went by itself. Juanma had seen him too.

Mia and Juanma made their appearance very good. The audience clapped and hooted. Juanma took Mia in her arms. "I told you it was all ok."

They left the stage. Mia changed clothes and ran to Alvaro with Juanma. He told them what the doctor had said- Javier was stable at first. He hadn't been able to talk because of the ventilation, but he had been able to squeeze Alvaro's hand. Lupe and Mercedes stayed there for now.
Alvaro took Mia in his arms. He was happy to be with her again. "You were great," he said proudly. He clapped Juanma and said "thank you for taking care of her."

There was a short break then all participants were called to the stage. The moderator said he had the results. He briefly summarizes the performances again. All participants were tense to the extreme. Mia stood between Alvaro and Juanma, Zoe stood in front of Juanma and next to her was Simon. Everyone else stood around them. They all held hands and waited for the decision. Finally the moderator said, "In this envelope are the two schools that made it to the finals." He laboriously opened the envelope. "In second place iiiiiiiis .... the school of St Matinius., In first place ... people, the tension rises tremendously here on the stage" he said while the students from the second school were already cheering. "So in first place is the St. Maryyyyyyyyyy school," he announced with a cheering voice.

Alvaro Mia, Juanma and Zoe fell around their necks at the same time and everyone else surrounded them. In that moment all arguments and bad thoughts were forgotten.

Ramiro went on stage followed by all of the St Mary students who were present and Florenzia and Gaspar. They were all very happy. Alex took over the micro and said, "Thanks for this decision. I want to say how proud I am of this group. I haven't been in charge of them for long, but they are just great." Then he cheered with them. Mia was still thinking what a great coach he was.

The celebrations continued in the changing rooms and the mood on the bus did not decrease. "It's thanks to you," said Alex about the Mirco on the bus. "You are a great team and we will continue to prove it to everyone. I am proud to be part of your group."

Ramiro drove to the hospital with Alvaro and Mia after the decision. Mia wasn't sure. whether she would be welcome, but Alvaro had insisted that she should come with him now.
