Zoe stayed with Juanma a little longer. The nurse had said he needed a little rest. "I'm sorry about the singing on Friday, but I don't want to let Gaspar down either."

Juanma nodded. "It's okay, we'll have Saturday together then." Inwardly, he was already very disappointed, because especially when Mia and ALvaro were with Javier, he and Zoe would have had a little time to theirselves. But he didn't want to tell Zoe that, in order not to create a bad mood again. Zoe had laid down a bit on Juanma's bed and he was enjoying the company. He was still very tired. When the nurse came to say that Juanma needed a little rest again, she carefully got up . "We'll be back tomorrow, okay?" she said.

Juanma nodded. He was exhausted, a little sad and gradually the pain medication also subsided. Zoe went to the others. Mia noticed that her friend was depressed and asked "Was something else or is everything ok?"

"He's sad about singing on Friday, I think, but I can't let Gaspar down now."

"He's in good hands at home and we'll go straight to him on Saturday morning. I don't want to take dad the evening in his current situation either," said Alvaro.

Zoe nodded. Once at the school, everyone wanted to know how Juanma was doing. The others didn't want to overwhelm him with messages, so only Fede had written briefly on behalf of everyone. Zoe couldn't wait for them to go back to the hospital on Monday. Fortunately, the school day went by quickly. Juanma greeted the three with a smile on her face and said "The drainage is out and if everything stays that way, then I can go tomorrow."

"How about the pain" asked Alvaro. "A pain in the wound, I was allowed to get up today, it still sucks a bit, but all in all it's okay and I'm happy if I can get out of here."
Mia grinned. She knew how much Juanma hated being in the hospital. They stayed a little longer this time and when they said goodbye they promised to visit him at home the next day. The week passed quickly. Juanma was allowed to rewrite the Spanish exam and Mia and Zoe felt it went very well.

Alvaro had all the exams behind him by the end of the week, but due to a lot of homework and preparation for the exams, they could not visit Juanma after Tuesday. Zoe was picked up by Gaspar right after school on friday. She had spoken to Juanma briefly beforehand. When Zoe was gone, Mia said to Alvaro, "Can you drive me to Juanma. I would like to see how he is doing." Alvaro nodded. "That fits well, I wanted to bring Javier something sweet tonight, then I'll get it in the meantime."

Florenzia greeted Mia warmly. She said briefly that Juanma was recovering well and that the strings would be pulled the following week. He could go to school again on Monday, but initially without physical exertion. Mia hadn't told Juanma about her visit and so he was amazed when there was a knock on his door and Mia entered the room.

"I'm looking forward to tomorrow when you're all here. It's pretty boring to be alone at home," said Juanma.

Mia nodded, "I can imagine that. Sometimes I wouldn't mind not having the hustle and bustle" "But you would surely prefer it if at least Alvaro was there, wouldn't you?" said Juanma with a slight grin.

Mia looked at him: "Zoe really had to do a lot for school and Alvaro and I did too, that's why we really couldn't come."

Juanma stopped, "Mia I don't mean that, I know that. But today ..."

"... I'm here," Mia said with a grin and took him briefly in her arms. Juanma squeezed it and held it for a moment. "I know you miss Zoe." she said then.

"Yes, I miss her, and I would have been happy if she were here tonight. But to know that she sings with Gaspar ..." "I know. I understand that too. But it would have been a problem for Gaspar if she had canceled."

"I know. I know that too, but can you understand that it still hurts me somehow?"

Mia nodded. It wouldn't have been such a big problem at school, but here alone at home. "We won't leave Javier late tomorrow and pick her up at school, then we'll be here early, okay?" Juanma nodded. "I hope Gaspar takes her to school after the gig"
