Javier was up early the next morning. He surprised them both with breakfast on his large balcony.

Alvaro and Mia slept very well and now Mia has also felt very comfortable with Javier.

After breakfast they helped Javier tidy everything up again and then said goodbye to him. He had really enjoyed the time with them and was almost a little sad that they were gone again. He resolved to invite the children, including Lupe, a little more often to do something with them.

Mia had received a message from Zoe that she should bring her a few things from school, and Alvaro and Mia drove to school from Javier.

Juanma had slept really well the night after a long time. When he came down the stairs with Zoe, breakfast was ready. Marcello was jogging, so at first they sat alone at the table with Florencia. She immediately noticed that her son was doing better and was happy about it. "Alvaro and Mia are coming in about two hours," said Juanma. Florencia nodded. "are you up to something?" she asked. "Maybe go through town, if that doesn't get too much for Juanma"

Florencia nodded and said:" That's good, a little change from school or here will be good for you. "

Zoe suggested that Juanma should rest a bit after breakfast and they went into his room and lay down on the bed again. "When can you start playing basketball again?" asked Zoe. "I don't think so for the next week. I'll have to be careful with the movements in Go too."

"Oh don't remind me of it, or I will remember how much I missed you" Juanma replied and took Zoe in his arms. Zoe had to laugh.

"It's weird at school when someone is suddenly not there. Because somehow you're always together."

"Yes, that's right. Fede was sick for a long time, that was a strange feeling."

There was a knock on the door and Alvaro and Mia poked their heads in. "Room control" said Mia laughing and took Zoe and Juanma one after the other in her arms.

"Nice to have you here," said Juanma. "We had the idea to go into town and go shopping," said Zoe, slightly questioning.

Mia and Alvaro agreed.

They got ready and drove downtown. It was a beautiful and not too warm day. The shopping center where the accident happened a few months ago was open again, but so far the four of them had avoided it. Now a new shop had moved in that the girls really wanted to go into.

Juanma felt a bit uncomfortable when he stepped through the doors. Zoe seemed to have repressed or processed the memories very well, or it was the euphoria of going shopping.

They couldn't see anything of the amount of water or the fallen objects, there were a lot of people there and there was a colorful mixture of people running back and forth. Zoe gripped Juanma's hand tighter because she felt he was lost in thought.

Mia and Alvaro were a little further ahead and Juanma tried to stay close. The girls found the shop straight away and were in their element.

When Zoe disappeared into the locker room with an armful of clothes, Alvaro had to laugh. "In a few years we will be here, a child by the hand and one in the stroller and our wifes have disappeared behind the curtain."

Juanma laughed. "And we will struggle to calm the children who are bored because the mothers are taking too long."

"Yes, and when we want to look in the technology shop, we are rushed because the children are hungry".

Zoe stuck her head out from behind the curtain."That's how it will go, don't make any illusions about that"

Both boys laughed. Mia came around the corner with at least as many things and looked puzzled. "What are you laughing at?"

"They make fun of themselves and plan their lives as fathers who go shopping with us," said Zoe from behind her curtain.

"Oh, well, actually I thought you'd drive us here and then take care of the children at home and have the food and household ready before you pick us up again" said Mia and laughed at them both.

Mia also disappeared behind a curtain and Alvaro looked at Juanma and said quietly "we should leave while we still can."

"I heard that," Mia said. All four laughed. Alvaro watched Juanma relax. He had wanted to bring some relaxation into it, so that the dark thoughts disappeared from Juanma. It seemed to have helped.

The girls had picked out some nice things and then the four of them went to have an ice cream. Even if Alvaro had tried to distract Juanma, he was glad to be outside again.
