The last week of school was here. They had to empty their rooms over the holidays and take everything with them.

The workshop participants in the GO were allowed to design the last lessons themselves. Alex gave them a free hand. He was very happy with the group and was proud to be able to lead it.

The certificates were written and actually the students were just waiting for the time. Tobi tried to spend every free minute with Martina, because even if they could see each other after the holidays, it wouldn't be the same anymore.

Zoe, Mia, Juanma and Alvaro had planned to sleep at Ramiro's Friday night and it should start on Saturday. On Friday right after school, Florencia and Zoe's parents wanted to pick up the things and bring a few more things for the vacation.

Alvaro and Roberto were able to pick up Roberto's car on Tuesday and Roberto was lucky, a hose broke and that could be fixed quickly and easily. Ramiro and Mercedes had a few things to discuss for the coming school year and met in Ramiro's office.

There was a lot on the agenda, from room occupancy to the workshops. When everything was discussed so far, Mercedes said "Isabel still there?"

Ramiro almost choked on the coffee and looked at Mercedes. "Yes she is still there."

"Why doesn't she go on vacation with Mia?" Mercedes asked and gave Ramiro a piercing look. "Mercedes, I don't know what these questions are about. I have planned the vacation with the students. There was no telling that Isabel would come now." He looked at his cup.

"That might not prevent her from going on vacation with you." again she looked at Ramiro carefully.

Ramiro first looked at his cup, then looked at Mercedes. "And even if she goes along, that's my business, Mercedes. We're separated, I can do what I want."

"But you already know that you have my son with you, don't you"

"The same topic again? Don't let it come down to the fact that I have to talk to Javier about this. You destroy the children Mercedes don't you notice?"

"Oh that's my fault now? Do you really want to discuss this now?"

"Yes, if you want that." After a moment he said "Don't you notice that Lupe is completely different? Don't you notice that Alvaro's only hold is Mia and also Zoe and Juanma?"

"Yes, and whose fault is it? Who left our family?"

"Mercedes that is now useless. We should think of the children. We should continue to function as parents."

"yes then you can be there directly for your new daughter".

For a moment, Ramiro said nothing. "Ok Mercedes. I will too. But you have to accept that both Alvaro and Lupe recognize me as a father. And Javier has accepted that too. And if you should question this fact or the vacation now, then I'll talk about various things, too. For example I'll have  to think about your job at this school. "

Mercedes said nothing for a moment. Ramiro gave in. "Let's not argue now. We have come to terms well. And we should think of the children. Of ours and also of the students."

"Ramiro, I can't accept a new partner at your side. And certainly not this Isabel," said Mercedes very quietly.

"I don't know what to tell you about Mercedes. We should get used to the situation and think about the children. We should leave out personal opinions. As far as we are concerned, we should work together as best as possible for the school and be there  for Lupe and Alvaro. We shouldn't discuss everything else now "

Mercedes noticed that Ramiro didn't want to talk about it any more, so she got up and left the office.

Ramiro thought for a while. He and Isabel had known each other for a long time, back in Mariana's time. Their relationship status was not clarified at the moment. They were already drawn to each other, they could feel that and, if he was honest, he had missed her since he came back from Spain. She was easy and refreshing. A bit like Mia. And she seemed comfortable with him too. The vacation would show what was developing. But he was especially happy for Mia that she could spend time with Isabel again.

He had sent another email to all of the high school students which would leave the school. Traditionally he handed over the certificates personally to the class with Mercedes. This was planned for Thursday, after which the high school students were also dismissed. It was always a nice, but also a difficult moment to say goodbye to the students. He had known some of them for years.
The ceremony was planned in the auditorium. The Go Workshop had prepared the song Somos Uno, also a somewhat newer tradition for farewells. When handing over the certificates, he wished the students all the best for their future lives and hoped that they would meet again.
Even Mercedes seemed more emotional than normal, maybe she was already thinking that Alvaro would also be with the high school students next year.
