The three and Florenzia took him to the rooms with the ultrasound. After a very short wait, he was called there. The ultrasound itself went very quickly and Juanma already knew the procedure. The nurse then took him to a room with a desk. Then she called Florenzia over.
The doctor came and looked at the results. "Oh that was very infected. I'll see that we can book an operation and then your son will unfortunately still have an operation today." he said to Florenzia.
She looked at Juanma. He nodded. He didn't want an operation, but he couldn't take the pain any longer. "Ok, then someone will take care of the recording and then I'll see what I can do about the operation."

Florenzia asked the others to stay with Juanma; she drove home to fetch a few things. Another nurse came to take Juanma to a ward. She looked at Mia, Zoe and Alvaro. "I'm his girlfriend," said Zoe. "Ok then you go with him first, the other two please stay here until he has a room and we know more, otherwise the ward will be too busy." Mia took Juanma briefly in her arms and Alvaro pushed his shoulder. "Take care, Captain," he said with a wink.

Alvaro and Mia sat down in the waiting room again. Alvaro had noticed that Mia was pretty calm. He took her in his arms and said, "This is a routine operation. Don't worry, he'll be fine soon".
Mia nodded. She had had a strange feeling all along because of Juanma's pain. And she knew from the experience after the accident that Juanma didn't like being in the hospital.

After a while, Zoe came back. "He will be prepared for the operation straight away. It was now faster than we thought." She was also a little pale and Alvaro gave her a short squeeze. "How is he holding up?" asked he.

"Like a man who is sick," said Zoe with a smile. Alvaro rolled his eyes.
"There is nothing we can do here now. The nurse told me that we can see him tomorrow at the earliest. But if all is well, he doesn't have to stay here long.
Mia wrote to Florenzia that they were going back to schooland in which room Juanma was.

"To Ramiro" asked Alvaro. The girls nodded. Ramiro was at home and hugged all three of them first. He let himself be told what had happened and then said "You know what, we're going to eat something after this shock first. We'll probably hear how it went later. Who's up for pizza?"
Even if the hunger wasn't very great, they ordered pizza and the appetite came while eating. When Mia was clearing the boxes in the kitchen, Ramiro joined them. "Do you want to make a bed in the living room today? Then Zoe doesn't have to sleep alone".
"Thanks dad, that's a great idea."

Florencia had received a message from the hospital that the operation had gone without complications and that he was in the recovery room. The next day he was also allowed to have visitors.Ramiro, Alvaro, Zoe and Mia were delighted with this positive news, the three of them built their beds and Ramiro conjured chips out of the closet. Suddenly Zoe called "Juanma is calling" she took the call. "How are you" asked Zoe. "I put you on the loudspeaker"."I'm fine, don't worry." he said. He sounded tired. "The painkillers are still working, so I'm actually better than fine" they could hear the grin in his voice.
Zoe said, supported by the others, that they would all sleep in Ramiro's living room and visit him tomorrow. "Greetings from Ramiro" she said before they said goodbye. The mood got better again. Zoe wrote a little more with Juanma, but he also said goodbye early to sleep.When they visited him the next day, he looked like he had sounded the day before."I can go out Tuesday if the wound looks good." He showed the three of them the plaster from which a drainage tube came out. "But I am not allowed to do any sport," he said a little sadly."Well at least we still have time until our vacation so that you can get really well," said Alvaro.

"Mom said that she would take me home for the week. She would like to clarify with Ramiro how it is about the Spanish work." Zoe looked a little disappointed.
"Hey what is?" Juanma asked her.
"It's going to be weird at school without you."
He took her hand. "Maybe, but mom said that you can all come to me for the weekend and then I can go back to school on Sunday or Monday."
Alvaro said: "Mia and I are invited to Javier's house on Friday. He wants to get to know Mia better and has invited us." Mia looked at him in surprise. "Sorry, I forgot to tell you all that." Alvaro said to her.
Again Zoe was very quiet. When Juanma looked at her, she said quietly "I'm singing with Gaspar on Friday"

Juanma's eyes darkened for a moment. He had completely forgotten that. But he caught himself again and then said "Ok then you will all be with me from Saturday?" the others nodded.
Mia and Alvaro said goodbye to Juanma in order to leave him and Zoe alone for a while.
"Can't Zoe refuse to sing," Alvaro asked.
"It's difficult for Gaspar, he said yes and if she doesn't come now, he'll have a hard time getting a replacement."
Alvaro nodded. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Javier".
"Not bad," said Mia.
