Toni grinned at them when they arrived at the diving school the next day. He had already spread notes on the tables. "Well, did you have a nice party?" he asked with a laugh. When they nodded, he said to Dani "then let's distribute the harder questions" Dani laughed and waved him off.

They sat down and focused on the questions. It was a little query from the Theoryscemes, none of which were very difficult to answer. And of course everyone passed the test. "So today we're going to do another final dive. Dani has a suggestion."

Dani took the floor. "I was in the pirate cave with Alvaro and Sergio," he winked at the two of them, "but unfortunately, I have to tell you, we haven't found the treasure. Now we wanted to ask which of you might help us to look for the treasure. "

In a row they dived one after the other into the cave. It was strange to only have the light of the lamp in front of them. It was completely dark around them.

Mia always kept to Sergio, who was swimming right in front of her. Mia's lamp flickered. As it went out she concentrated on the flap in front of her. Suddenly she no longer felt it. She had still seen the light, then it disappeared too. Mia stopped swimming; she stayed there where she was.

Dani turned to the group. Alvaro had been behind him, pointing to his oxygen meter. Dani saw that Alvaro had less than 20% and pointed the way back. He nudged Juanma and indicated that he should swim out with Alvaro. Sergio turned around and found that Mia was no longer with him. He hoped she had been a little slower and he indicated to Dani that he would leave the cave with Alvaro and Juanma. Dani showed an "ok", he had so concentrated on the oxygen display that he had not noticed Mia's absence. The three swam out of the cave. Sergio scanned the corridor with his eyes. He had the hope that Mia had swam back and they would meet her at the boat.

When they emerged from the cave, his first glance was at the boat, but there was no Mia there. Juanma and Alvaro climbed on the boat and Sergio shouted: "I lost Mia".

"What, what do you mean," said Alvaro, "she's for sure with Dani"

"No. She was behind me and when we gathered and you indicated that you were swimming back, she was no longer there, I was hoping she might have swam back."

Alvaro looked across the water. "We have to go back in," said Alvaro, slightly panicked.

"You're out of oxygen, you can't do it," said Sergio, pointing to Alvaro's display.

"I go without oxygen, I can hold my breath as far as the cave," said Alvaro, pulling off the bottle and getting ready to jump into the water.

Juanma held him tight. "Alvaro, there is no way to breathe in the cave and we can't do it together with one bottle. Sergio and I are looking for her. Keep calm." He put his arms on his shoulders. "You stay here, if she comes out of the cave you will see her. I will find her. I promise!" He squeezes Alvaro's arm.

"How could you leave her alone" said Alvaro to Sergio.

"I uh, she was behind me, I suddenly didn't see her anymore and thought she was a bit further back, that's why I'm out with you and when we haven't found her now, I wanted to let you know.  "said Sergio contrite. Alvaro had tears in his eyes.

Juanma looked at him. "Hey, she's got enough oxygen and we'll find her." He gave Alvaro a short squeeze and got ready to go.

He and Sergio went back into the water and dived into the cave. Alvaro saw the second boat arrive. He waved and when Toni arrived he called out to him: "Mia is missing in the cave, I have no more oxygen."

He swallowed. Toni tied the boats together. "What do you mean, Mia is missing? Is Dani in the cave"

Alvaro nodded.
