Mia talked about the phone call with Mercedes. The reproaches she'd made to Alvaro and the sadness and despair that was in his voice. "I can tell it's breaking him and in the end it's my fault, because I  triggered that by  my appearance at school." she said. "I knew when I wanted the break month ago that he couldn't stand between me and his family, and  that's exactly why I did it. I've been thinking all the time now about what to do."

"Mia, he needs you. He needs all of us, but he needs you the most now. You have to be strong for him now and we will all get through this together. Cry with  me, cry with Zoe, but please be strong for him  and Above all, do not leave him. As I know Alvaro, similar thoughts run through his head. " He took her in his arms again.

It hurt him to see Mia like that and he could understand her thoughts too.

How many conversations of this kind had they had, how often had one encouraged, comforted or supported the other? Mia felt protected and safe with Juanma, and he felt the same way. "But do you think she still loves Ramiro? Do you think after all that she or he could go back to what was before" asked Mia.

They crept quietly into the room and Mia carefully lay down next to Alvaro. Alvaro looked at Juanma and said "Thank you", then took Mia in his arms. Juanma nodded and snuggled up against Zoe
