Zoe went back into the cafeteria with Gaspar. They laughed together and Gaspar had grabbed Zoe by the shoulder. Juanma's eyes darkened. When the two of them arrived at the table, Gasper said "I'm sorry to say goodbye. Congratulations to you all again"
He put a hand on Mia's shoulder and she stood up and took him in her arms to say goodbye. "We will speak on the phone," he said to her. Mia nodded.
Zoe had wanted to take Juanma's hand, but he had pulled his hand away. Ramiro entered the cafeteria after a few moments.
"I didn't get around to telling you how proud I am of all of you. You did a great job." The students clapped. Ramiro sat down briefly at the table next to Mia. "Mercedes has called Lupe and Alvaro over. There are a few things that need to be discussed in case something happens tomorrow. But I'll keep you up to date. Be there for Alvaro, ok. Mia nodded. In the meantime Juanma had got up and left the cafeteria. When Ramiro left, Mia nudged Zoe and asked "What's wrong?"

"What did he want?" Zoe looked at Mia and Mia had already understood. "And what did you say?"
"That we are friends and that we only sing together as friends." Mia wasn't thrilled with the answer. She really liked Gaspar, but it was obvious to her that he didn't want to just sing with Zoe.
Juanma came back but sat down at another table. Suddenly Alvaro and Lupe were there again, Lupe was crying and went to Agus and Alvaro took Mia by the hand and asked "can we go outside for a bit?" He looked at Zoe, who nodded. Mia got up and Alvaro and they went to the park.

"What else did Mercedes say?" Mia asked when Alvaro said nothing. "Dad has a living will and we had to go through a few documents. The doctor fears no complications, but something can always go wrong with a heart operation. Mom wanted to know if Lupe and I want to stay home until tomorrow evening, but I said I prefer to be with you and the others. " Mia took him in her arms. "Everything will be fine tomorrow, definitely." "Yes it will," said Alvaro, his voice not sounding convinced. He didn't want to talk about it either, he just wanted to enjoy Mia's presence and try to come to terms with the day.

When they got back to school, neither Zoe nor Juanma could be seen. Mia went up to her room where Zoe was sitting on the bed looking at her cell phone. "Why aren't you downstairs?" Asked Mia. "I was bored, Juanma was suddenly gone with Lupe and Simon went into the room too."
"Juanma with Lupe?" Mia asked incredulously.
"yes they are both gone."
"He's surely going to talk to her about Javier, don't be like that now." When Zoe didn't say anything, Mia said, "Come on, we'll eat soon." Lupe was back to eat, but Juanma wasn't. Alvaro wasn't there either. Mia and Zoe had reserved a seat for both of them, but they didn't come. Zoa prepared two more plates and Mia and her brought the plates upstairs after dinner.

Alvaro had gone to the gym after Mia went looking for Zoe. Juanma was in the hall and threw a couple of balls on the basket. "Hey captain, you know something new" he asked Alvaro. Alvaro briefly described what he knew and indicated to Juanma that he wanted the ball, basketball was now a welcome change. They didn't talk, just tossed the balls and then to the basket. When Alvaro was out of breath, Juanma suggested a break. "Why were you here alone" Alvaro asked him.
"I needed a break from all the talk," said Juanma. "It seems to be quite difficult to hit Lupe," he added.
" Did you speak with her"
"Yes, briefly earlier, she cried and actually she was looking for you."
"She's been obscure all day today. I can't tell how she's doing." After a while he asked "should we go to the girls? We missed dinner".
"Go ahead, I'll play a little more," said Juanma.
"Hey is everything ok?" Alvaro asked him.
"Gaspar talked to Zoe again today. They came back laughing and giggling. I can't explain why, but I could freak out if I see them together."
"Maybe Mia can talk to Gaspar. Zoe seems vulnerable to him. Maybe Mia can convince him to leave Zoe alone."
"Mia should be there for you, that's more important."
"Juanma, I'm ok. She's there for me. Don't worry about that. But Zoe takes you along with it."
"I can't understand it myself. I trust Zoe. But there is something with Gaspar. As soon as I see her with him, I have a strange feeling."

After a moment he said, "You know how was the relationship with Lupe. Then there was Mia. I never thought I could feel so much for anyone. And Zoe ... you know how she used to be.
