When Zoe and Juanma were in bed, Juanma was a little thoughtful and Zoe gave him a kiss and asked "What is it, everything ok?" "Do you remember, we celebrated Alvaro's birthday a week ago today. My mother was healthy and almost everything was fine between Clara and Roberto."

"That's it again now, so your mother is doing better, and Clara and Roberto have made peace"

"Do you think that they will stay that way?" Asked Juanma. "

Zoe shrugged. "At least I hope so," she said.

"But think about what happened in a week," said Juanma. "Who would have thought that a week ago today?" "Fortunately, we all don't know what to expect and when," said Zoe.

Juanma nodded and took her in his arms. he enjoyed her closeness and warmth and he  already knew that he would miss her next weekend at the latest.

"Do you already know when you will compete with Mia?" asked Zoe.

"No, the dates will now be announced at the weekend. Mia and I had considered making  a mashup of  different songs. That is a dance and vocal challenge and could well bring points." "What songs?"

"We're still thinking about that," said Juanma.

"I definitely want to watch," said Zoe. "You will be sure of a place in Alvaro's car," says Juanma with a smile. Zoe nodded.

She snuggled closer to him. "I'm sorry I couldn't be there last weekend, but my parents were adamant."

"Its ok, no need for sorry," said Juanma. "I wasn't all alone and I felt your thoughts on me."

"But it's also nice to know that when something like that happens, the friends are still there in any case."

Juanma nodded. He had seen once again how important his friends were to him and what they meant to him. And he knew that he would never let any of them down, if he could.

"Serafina told me about a design school during my internship. However, it is further away from here, so I excluded it."

" How far?" asked Juanma. "Two hours by car," said Zoe.

"Then I'll find a university near you," said Juanma. "It works".

"We still have a bit of time until then. First we have to be without Alvaro for a year," said Zoe.

Juanma nodded. "But we still have time until then, too." Zoe laughed.

"You're right," she said.

Juanma took her in his arms again and said "I'm glad I have you". "I can only give that back." said Zoe with a smile.

"Have you already written something about the student exchange?" she asked him.

"No, if yes  I would write that I just want to go somewhere with all of you and Alvaro is probably out."

"Let's see if they do that. I think it's great about camping and skiing." Zoe said, "Even if the lake was way too cold." "It wasn't at all," laughed Juanma

Zoe yawned. "We should sleep," he said then. He took Zoe in his arms and said "Well, now I won't let go of you  anymore"

Zoe grinned and said "I ask for it".

Both fell asleep quickly.

Lupe had persuaded her mother to spend the night with Gaspar because Gaspar wanted to come to the competition. Mercedes hadn't agreed, but Lupe had begged for a long time and used the argument that it wasn't the first time she'd stayed with him.

When he picked her up in the evening, he greeted Mercedes in a friendly manner. "See you tomorrow," he said to her. Mercedes nodded and waved goodbye to them.

"Nice that you are staying with me today," he said.

Lupe smiled at him." My mother didn't like that, "she said and then laughed." You're not doing this to wipe out your mother, are you? "

Lupe winked at him." Seriously, Lupe, I don't want to be a plaything in your family. I like to be with you because you are important to me. but I don't want to cause an argument. "

"Take it easy, everything's ok. I just need a little more time before I introduce you to my mother properly."

Gaspar nodded. "Ok, I said yes, your pace."

"Thank you," said Lupe. "I start to miss you more every day when we don't see each other. That almost worries me"

He smiled "That's called being in love"

"Oh, is this likethat?" she said and took his hand. "Then it is now official:"

Gaspar stopped the car. "Are you serious about this now?" She looked at him, gave him a kiss and said, "Does this feel serious?"

He looked at her for a moment and sought her gaze. Then he smiled. They both winced when the car behind them honked. They had the car overtaken and Gaspar drove on, laughing. Until they got home to him, he didn't let go of Lupe's hand. He hoped it would be as beautiful as it felt right now.
