The next day the students packed everything up and everyone helped to leave the place clean again. All cars were brought up and fully packed. Then the bus came and they could all go back to school.

On the way, Mia got Juanma to write to his mother about the stomach ache. Florenzia texted back that she would try to get an appointment with the doctor for the same day. When they got to the school, the cars were unloaded. Ramiro later had an appointment with Mercedes. She wanted to know how the excursion had gone.
Ramiro told her how proud he was of the students and that the team spirit was great. Mercedes smiled happily. "And how was it with Juanma and Lupe?"
"With Juanma and ... wait a minute. That was your idea to put the two of them in a team ..." He paused for a moment. "Mercedes you have to stop doing that, you cannot control the feelings of others. Juanma is happy with Zoe. He has developed further ...."
"Oh, you mean to say Lupe hasn't developed any further?"
"No, Mercedes, I didn't mean to say that, but the two developed them in opposite directions, simply differently."
When Mercedes stopped saying anything, Ramiro asked: "How is Javier?" He wanted to change the subject. "Good under the circumstances. He's starting to walk again and is in a normal infirmary."
"Well, I'll visit him in the next few days"
"You will visit him?" Mercedes looked at him suspiciously.
"yes, I will Mercedes."

The conversation was more tense than Ramiro had hoped, so he left the vacation with Alvaro unspoken.

Florenzia hadn't got an appointment with the doctor. Alvaro had a different idea. He wanted to go to his father at hospital with Mia and said "We'll just take you with us. They can't turn you away with pain."

"Hey now stop it, it's not that bad.... mom gets an appointment for one of the next days."

"Come on, then you're over and we know what's going on. You won't come against MIa either."

Juanma had to laugh. Alvaro had planned to start around 3 p.m. Before that he stopped by his mother.

"Oh Alvaro, it's nice that you are coming."

"I wanted to see Papa, should I take something with me? "Asked Alvaro

." No he should have everything. How was the trip? "

"Super good, at first I wasn't enthusiastic about the idea, but it was great."

"I'm happy Alvaro"

"We can do that again. And the treasure hunt was awesome."

Mercedes smiled contentedly. "Ok then, say hello to Javier for me". she still said.

Mia and Juanma were already waiting at the car, Juanma had told it to Zoe and she was in the cafeteria with Simon and Roberto and Clara. When they got to the hospital, they asked the information desk where Juanma could  go with  stomach pain. The lady named him a station. She already registered Juanma there and Alvaro and Mia accompanied him there. "We're going to see Javier" Juanma nodded. Mia took him briefly in her arms.

Javier was happy about the visit of the two. "Nice that  you have  brought Mia." he said.

"How are you Papa" asked Alvaro. Javer looked a lot better. Alvaro hadn't seen him for a few days and it was immediately noticeable. "Better every day. I still have to take it easy, but I may be able to go home by the end of this week."

" That's great. "

"Papa, I have a question. Actually Ramiro wanted to address that, but I just have to have an answer. Ramiro is planning a vacation, again with Mia, Juanma, Zoe and me. May I go with them? In the next hollidays?"

"Have you already asked your mother?" Asked Javier.

Alvaro shook his head.

"You're afraid that she will say no. ... you know what, that's fun. I say yes" he grinned and Mia and Alvaro had to laugh. Alvaro gave his father a quick hug and said thank you, and Mia thanked him too. "I thought the holidays with your friends and Ramiro were really good for you and with Ramiro you are in good hands, as I have now noticed."

Mia looked at the clock. "I'll just go and see how things are going downstairs, ok?" she said to Alvaro. He nodded.
"If we don't see each other again, see you soon Javier" she went to the bed and wanted to shake hands with him. Javier pulled her slightly and gave her
a short squeeze. When Mia was outside, Javier asked "Are there any of you here?" Alvaro told his father about JUanma and his pain. Javier also thought it was better to have it examined.
"Your Mia is pretty," said Javier.
Alvaro smiled all over his face. "Yes, she is. And a wonderful person"
"Then don't let go of her, Alvaro."

Mia found Juanma quickly. He had already spoken to a doctor. An ultrasound should be done.
"The doctor suspects irritation of the appendix."
"Does that have to be operated on too?" Mia asked. Juanma shrugged. A moment later he was called for an ultrasound. While Mia was waiting, Alvaro came too. She briefly reported what had happened so far and Alvaro nodded.
"My father was very excited about you," he said.
"He's also much friendlier than before," said Mia.
"Yes, and I can go on vacation with you," said Alvaro happily.
Juanma came back. "I'm done, we can go," he said.
"What does the doc say?" Mia asked.
"Alvaro had the correct assumption. It is irritation of the appendix. I should take it easy and keep an eye on the pain. If it becomes more, it may be that it is an inflammation, it must then be operated on."
"Can you play basketball" asked Alvaro
"He didn't say anything about it. I'll try and see how it is," said Juanma with a smile.
"You certainly didn't ask either," laughed Mia.
