When the students arrived at the campsite, they were given the tents to pitch. Ramiro and Marcello had marked the places so that they could still light a fire in the middle and there was a bit of space around the tents.
Zoe and Mia didn't know initially how to build their tent. They watched the boys for a moment and then tried to set it up on their own. Alvaro helped them with the final steps.
In the meantime, Juanma helped Lupe and Agus, who had not yet started. Zoe threw an annoyed look over Lupe responded with a triumphant smile. "Come on, stop, he's just helping the two of them," Mia said and gave Zoe the sleeping bags so she could put them in the tent.
Alvaro was now with Lupe and Agus, too, who apparently couldn't build the tent neither with Juanma's help. "I*m curios how they will survive here," said Juanma quietly to Alvaro. "I heard that," said Lupe, a little snappy. "You can, too," said Juanma. Alvaro grinned.

When all the tents were up, Marcello and Ramiro called the students together. Nico's mother introduced herself to everyone because not everyone knew her. "My name is Emanuela" she was just saying "but you can call me Manu" Fede nudged Nico and laughed. Nico nudged back and laughed too. Ramiro made it clear that all three had the same authority and that he hoped the rules would be followed. He also made it clear that there were no tents changes or overnight stays in other tents and Juanma was just wondering if he had imagined that Ramiro had crossed his eyes on him and Alvaro.
"You have probably already noticed that the cell phones have hardly any reception here, actually not at all. So that's not because of the cell phones, but because we are in nature." said Ramiro

Some of the students mumbled something, but no one said anything aloud.

For the evening we only planned to eat together. Ramiro called Alvaro, Roberto, Fede, Martin and Juanma to him.

"I wanted to ask you to take care of the others a bit. I saw that you all helped set up other tents and I think that's great. Please let me know if there are any problems."

They all sat by the fire and talked in groups. Fede suddenly started a song that everyone gradually joined in. Clara sat down next to Roberto and was holding his hand. It was the first time she slept in the tent. Like in school, she was with Sofie. Roberto shared the tent with Nico.

Ramiro was happy with how things went on the first evening, he felt that the students were comfortable. He hoped the weather would play along until the end of the trip.

when it was getting late he addressed the students again. "Tomorrow we have planned a kind of treasure hunt. You are divided into groups of two." The calls got louder and Ramiro raised his hand.

"We'll tell you the division tomorrow," he grinned. "You get GPS devices in which you have to enter coordinates."•
Little by little they all disappeared into the tents. Juanma, Zoe, Mia and Alvaro sat together for a moment. Alvaro wondered briefly whether they  might dare to swap tents, but there had been talk of controls and he didn't want to risk that.

The girls were tired and said goodbye to Alvaro and Juanma. The boys also got ready for bed. Water had to be fetched from a station below. They had enough water for the evening and tomorrow.

Juanma had already slept, but then heard something outside. He listened for a moment and then unzipped the tent. Quietly so as not to wake Alvaro, he crawled out of the tent. He saw a small light on one side of  the camp and walked towards it. Roberto was sitting there with a flashlight in front of him and had a cigarette on.

"Hey," said Juanma very softly. "How long have you been smoking again?"

"I don't really do that. But I just felt like it. Do you want one too?" Juanma declined with thanks.

" Everything OK?" he asked instead. "Yes, I just couldn't sleep" answered Robero?

"Why? What are you thinking of?"

"I don't know. Everything about Clara is so new. I'm so afraid of doing something wrong."

" I know that only too well." said Juanma. "But it's best to just be who you are. Quite naturally. Don't pretend, I think she is very sensitive, she would notice it anyway."

Roberto nodded, "Oh yes she is." he said.

"How is it with you and Zoe?"

" Everything OK." said Juanma. Roberto looked at him carefully for a moment and drew on the cigarette. "That's good," he said. "And Mia?" asked Roberto softly.

Juanma looked at him. For a moment he said nothing. Then he said: "Everything as always. Everything is fine. We are friends. All four."

"Ok" said Roberto, slightly incredulous. "What?" Said Juanma, who had heard his tone.

"well, you loved her. How can you see her in Alvaro's arms now. I couldn't."

"I still love her. But different. And do you know the saying: What you love, let it go free. When it comes back to you, it loves you too."

"Well, she didn't come back." "Oh yes she did. I had a lot of conversations with her about it. She loves me. Different than she loves Alvaro. And different than I love Zoe. But I think this love means more than a relationship."-
