Ramiro and Isabel followed the suggestion of the four and set off on their hike at noon. Ramiro let Alvaro explain the way to him again.

The four started in the kitchen. Juanma was responsible for the dessert, he touched the mascarpone cream and distributed cut grapes and minced cookie cheese in it. The paella rice cooked and Zoe and Mia cut the ingredients and prepared the meat. Alvaro distributed the tapas in small bowls and then began to set the table. "Does the dessert have to bake" asked Zoe? "No," said Juanma, "it goes in the refrigerator."

When the food was in the oven and everything else was ready, the four sat down on the terrace. It was late afternoon when Ramiro and Isabel returned.

"You look very much like you've been waiting for us." Ramiro said with a smile.

"You are not allowed in the kitchen or on the back of the terrace." Mia said. Isabel looked at Ramiro, he looked for an answer from Alvaro, who had to laugh. "Come in first, then we'll explain everything to you." he said, "And don't worry, it's nothing bad."

Isabel and Ramiro freshened up and came back down. The four were already waiting for them.

"Sit down," said Alvaro, pointing to the sofa. "We really enjoyed our time with you here. It was a great vacation that luckily is not over yet. "said Alvaro.

Mia then said "Nevertheless we thought we would already like to thank you here in this wonderful atmosphere on this super beautiful beach"

"We hope you are hungry from your hike, because we have prepared something for you as a thank you for this wonderful holiday," added Juanma.

"And so that you can take us with you again, we made it very special" said Zoe and everyone had to laugh.

"We wanted you to have an evening to yourselves, so it's just prepared. If you want to take a seat at the back on the terrace at the table, there's a small starter," said Alvaro while he was already leading the two to the table. Alvaro had lit candles and the table was beautifully set. The wine was uncorked and Juanma filled both glasses. Isabel sat down with tears in her eyes for joy. She jumped up again and took everyone one after the other in her arms. "Thank you so much, this is such a great surprise"

Ramiro said "We enjoyed the holiday at least as much as you and we really hope that we will all spend some more holidays together. Thank you for the great surprise."

"The paella is in the oven and ready in 20 minutes. The dessert is in the refrigerator. We wish you a nice evening," said Mia.

"What are you doing?" Asked Isabel.

"We're invited to Toni and Dani's barbecue.

Ramiro laughed." I should have guessed.

When the kids were gone, Isabel took Ramiro in her arms. "You raised a great boy," she said. "I can only return the compliment for my daughter." Both had to laugh. "Have a nice evening," said Ramiro and they toasted with their wine glasses.

The four started to the diving school. Toni and Dani had already turned on the grill. "Hey you four sit down, everything is already prepared" said Toni and Dani fetched drinks. "Were your parents happy?" "Yes, very much," said Mia.

Dani filled the grill with meat and sausages. "What else do you guys do in the real life?" Toni asked when they were all sitting together.

" We're all at school together, "Mia said." Apart from school, the boys play basketball and we're all in a workshop where we sing and dancing. "

" And Juanma and Mia sing professionally, "added Zoe.

" What really? Really with gigs "asked Dani." That's something really great. "

The four of them took turns talking about the school and the performances. Dani and Toni asked a few questions and listened carefully. They were interrupted when Alvaro's cell phone rang. He looked at the display and rolled his eyes. He showed the others that Mercedes was calling and went with  the phone into the diving school, while Dani checked on the grill. When nobody said anything anymore, Toni said "This is Alvaro's mother now, right?"

"Yes, and she always disturb everything".

"It's a mother's job," Toni said with a laugh.

"Yes, but not like that," said Mia, and they briefly told how things went with Mercedes.

"Oh dear, that's difficult," said Toni. "No wonder that Alvaro's father doesn't feel like doing it anymore."

Mia explained to the two that Ramiro raised Alvaro but was her father and how it came about. "And you and Juanma are simply friends with the two" Toni then asked and everyone nodded. "You have a great friendship, from which I was able to observe." said Dani. He looked over the table and said "I'll get some more drinks." He went into the kitchen and got some bottles. When he came out again, he found that Alvaro was no longer on the phone, but was standing by one of the windows, phone in hand. He put the bottles on a board and walked up to him. "Are you okay Alvaro?" Alvaro winced a little, put the phone in his pocket and turned to Dani. Dani saw that Alvaro was upset, although he nodded. "What happened with  your mother?" Alvaro looked down and shook his head. Dani had reached him now and put his hand on Alvaro's shoulder. "Do you need a moment here?"
