Juanma was lying on the blanket when Mia and Alvaro were walking. Zoe had her head on his stomach. "How can they have missed each other so much, they saw each other almost every day." said Zoe. "Only I haven't seen any of you in those days, I'm the only one who can talk about missing" she laughed.

"Hey, I didn't see you either," says Juanma and carefully turned from under her to kiss her. "And I missed you incredibly," he said.

"I missed you too. My parents cleaned up the basement. Juanma, the basement when I'm on vacation. It was totally boring."

"Yes, but when they work, they don't have the time either," said Juanma. "I helped my mother a lot too," he added.

"I know, I understood it too. But I thought we'd do something cool."

"They could have waited until we were all there," said Juanma. "Then we should have cleaned up," he laughed.

"Wait, the store isn't ready yet," Zoe said with a grin.

Juanma was speechless for a moment. Then he laughed at Zoe.

"I'm glad I got you all back," said Zoe. "And most of all, that I have you back." Juanma squeezed it. He couldn't put into words how much he missed Zoe. He'd been distracted, seeing Mia and Alvaro, but his head had been with Zoe the whole time. "The picnic was a great idea."

Juanma nodded. "That was his idea. I was just helping," he said with a laugh."I hope that with Mercedes calms down again. It seems to be a strain on Alvaro," said Juanma.

"It is clear that it burdens him, it is his family. If that breaks, only MIa remains," said Zoe.

"And we remain too" said Juanma and Zoe nodded. After a while she said, "It was so hard to fall asleep without you. I never sleep alone at school, at least Mia is still there. But when we're together, I concentrate on your breath or your heartbeat. And now there was nothing . " said Zoe softly.

"It was the same for me, Zoe. The vacation was incredibly intense, we were always together and then suddenly from one day to the next no more."

"Now we have an infinite amount of time together again," said Zoe. She lay down next to him and he took her in his arms. "The rest of the vacation, more or less like that," Juanma said quietly.

"Did you ever see Lupe when you were doing something with Alvaro?" Zoe asked

"no, I wasn't at Alvaro's home at all, why do you ask."

"Just like that, it could have been."

Juanma didn't ask any further. Lupe was a sore spot with Zoe, just as Gaspar was for him. Interesting that the two were apparently on their way to get together, he thought for a moment. Zoe stroked his arm. " Everything OK?" she asked. Juanma nodded.

"When you grow up, everything is harder," said Zoe.

"Why, how do you come up with it"

"Well look how it is with Alvaro's parents. Mine were also faced with difficult decisions. Well and with Mia and you ....."

Juanma was silent for a moment." The fate of Mia and me probably cannot be prevented. Decisions are part of life and what happened at Alvaro could have been avoided with honesty. It's not that complicated, "said Juanma and took her in his arms again.

Suddenly Mia and Alvaro were there again. "There you two are again" said Zoe. "You cheated on the missing game, you saw each other." she laughed.

Alvaro and Mia laughed too. It was good to be together again. "Somehow you only realize how important something is when you no longer have it, right?" said Mia.

"Didn't you find us important before?" Juanma asked laughing.

"Sure, but .. I meant."

"It's good Mia. We all know what you meant." Zoe said and nudged Mia.

"We have to go," said Alvaro, looking at his watch. They packed everything up and drove to Juanma. Marcello was already there and was busy with the grill. He and Florencie gave the kids a warm welcome. The girls set the table and helped Florencia in the kitchen. The boys were with Marcello. It was a great evening, Florencia noticed that the kids felt comfortable. Alvaro also became noticeably looser. She thought about the conversation with Mercedes.

After dinner the kids helped tidy up and retired to Juanma's room. They were all tired and turned on another movie. Alvaro knew it would be the first night he could sleep well again. The girls fell asleep quickly. Both had snuggled into their boyfriend's arms.

Juanma looked at Alvaro. "Everything ok" he asked softly. "Now  it is... yes," said Alvaro and grinned at Juanma. "I can confirm that," said Juanma.
