The next days went by in a flash. The students all had their commitments for an internship. Lupe had decided to do an internship in a make-up school. Clara and Juanma had the place with Charlie Martin's acquaintances and Roberto and Mia were assigned to the orphanage.
They would stay there too. Alvaro was supposed to work in the hospital, he was scheduled for the emergency room. He had the option of going to school or home at night, but opted for a room in the nursing school.
"Take care of the nurses" said Juanma with a laugh and Mia clapped him on the shoulder. Zoe worked at the theater, she was in the in-house tailoring shop, where costumes were made or changed to match the performance. She was the only one who would sleep at home.

Between basketball training and exercises in the Go, the students tried to do their homework.
Luis got on better with Clara every day, which Roberto really disliked. Mia and Roberto should come to the orphanage on Sunday. Roberto wanted to go there with Mia in the car.
He and Clara spent the afternoon in the Go. "I will miss you" said Roberto. "Me too. I'm glad that Juanma is with me. So I'm not all alone," said Clara. Roberto nodded. He had asked Juanma to take care of Clara. The two should not come to this school until Monday, Alvaro should drive them there after he had dropped Zoe at the Theater.

Alvaro and Juanma also spent the time with the girls. Alvaro had moved a bit away from the other two with Mia. "Juanma and I said we would do video chats in the evening," said ALvaro. "All four on Skype"
Mia nodded. "Still, I'll miss you," she said.

"Ask me, you know how much I hate being apart from you." Alvaro took Mia in his arms.

Roberto had already rang Mia. He was ready to go. Mia said goodbye to Zoe and Juanma and Juanma said "I'll see you tomorrow evening"
Mia nodded. "Over skype, I know". Alvaro brought Mia to Roberto's car. "Take care of her," he said to Roberto.
"Sure. The question is who has to take care of whom," laughed Roberto. Alvaro and Mia hugged each other again and then Roberto started the car.
At the orphanage they were received by a young educator named Tom. He briefly showed them the basement and where the rooms were. "We have almost all age groups here. Sometimes even newborns." he said.

Then he showed them their rooms. They were lying next to each other and Mia smiled at Roberto in relief. Mia should first help in the playgroups. Roberto was supposed to speak to the head of the facility the next day. There were counseling and educational offers where he could participate. He led the two of them into a group room where some children aged 8 to 12 were staying. There was a TV, a game console, a reading corner and lots of games. He introduced the children to Roberto and Mia and asked them to get to know the children by playing with them. He had previously to them that, although they should be sensitive to the children, they should also keep a certain distance.

Roberto sat down with two boys who were playing a car racing game on the console. Mia was taken directly by the hand of a little girl who had picked out a book. and asked Mia to read it.  they did not have much time to get used to the children because the children had to go to bed slowly.

Tom told the two a little more. The orphanage had its own school, only the higher grades went to public schools. Mia and Roberto should help and stand by the children in class. When Tom said goodbye, Roberto spoke to Clara on the phone. She was already very excited, and Roberto was again glad that she was not somewhere alone.
He told her how they had been welcomed. Clara knew Tom very well and said he was always nice.

Juanma, Zoe and Alvaro had retired to Mia and Zoe's room.
When Alvaro's cell phone rang, everyone thought it was Mia. To their dismay, it was Mercedes. "Hello my son," she said in greeting. "I'll be right back at school. I have a few things to sort out and talk to Ramiro about something. I would like to ask you to be in my office in half an hour." Alvaro agreed. "What can she want again now?" He asked himself more, but audibly for the others.

When he started walking, Juanma said "are you coming back here?" Alvaro nodded. "Ok, see you soon, captain." When Alvaro arrived in front of the offices of Ramiro and Mercedes, Ramiro was already there. "Hello Alvaro, what are you doing here" asked Ramiro in astonishment.
"Mama called me here," said Alvaro. Ramiro nodded. "Me too," he said at this moment Mercedes came through the door.

"Oh, there you are both already," she went into her office and motioned both of them to sit down. She sat down at her desk herself. "Do you know why I called you" she asked.
When they both shook their heads, she said: "The internships start tomorrow. I wanted to clarify whether we should pay the students a visit at the companies to hear how things are going?"

Ramiro said: "Maybe the students would be happy if we showed interest". He exhaled with relief when it wasn't about Isabel again. "What do you say, Alvaro? Would that be too much control?"

Alvaro shook his head "I don't think so," he said They talked for a while about the various internships, then Mercedes dismissed Alvaro from the conversation. When he closed the door behind him, she said to Ramiro: "I cannot close the subject of Isabel, Ramiro. I want us to try again. I need you by my side."
