As promised, the girls changed tents early in the morning and so no one had noticed anything. When it was time to get up, the students looked forward to the lake. Alvaro had the point where he was stored in his GPS device, so they knew which route was coming. It was a wonderful day and it promised to be very warm, so almost perfect.

Arrived at the lake, everyone was looking for places. There were a few larger rocks where they could lay in the sun or in the shade of which they could chill a bit in a cooler place. Zoe, Juanma. Mia and Alvaro walked a little apart from the others with their towels to have a little peace. The first were almost in the water and whooped and screamed because it was cold. Zoe only lay down on her towel. "Come into the water," Mia said.

"It's too cold and I'm still too tired," Zoe muttered. Alvaro and Mia looked at each other, Mia shrugged and then they started walking. "Wait for me," said Juanma, gave Zoe a quick kiss and whispered "I just have to go in there now, that looks so great, I'll be back soon" Zoe nodded and Juanma almost had the impression that she had fallen asleep again. The three of them ran into the water to the others.

"OOOO" shouted Mia, "that's really freezing".

"The lake is fed by a spring that comes from up there," said Ramiro, who was still standing on the edge and pointing to the hill. "The water doesn't have much time to warm up"

The boys were in the water before Mia and were already raving in the water. Clara stood at the edge. "Is that too cold for you?" Mia asked smiling.

"I can't swim well," said Clara, a little ashamed.

"That doesn't matter. It looks flat up here, let's go in slowly." She took Clara by the hand, both tucked in their belly and walked on tiptoe.

Mia dared to immerse herself completely and the boys were already there to include her in her romp. Roberto came over and took Clara by the hand. "You have to breathe very calmly and then let the water carry you. "She swam, but you could see that she was unsure and scared.

Alvaro said "Come on, let's all swim over  to the stones" Clara looked at Roberto and Roberto said "You can do it".

Really, Clara persevered and they got to the stones. Mia took her in her arms "Great, you see you could do it."

Juanma saw Lupe watching the scene from the other side and grimacing a little.

He himself was very tense in the cold water, so that his pain was there again and he said to Alvaro "I'll go look for  Zoe, I told her I'll be back quickly,"

"Just bring her with you," Alvaro said with a laugh .

Juanma carefully sat down next to Zoe, who had indeed fallen asleep. But she jumped when she got a few drops of water from Juanma's hair. "Wuah, is the water that cold?"

"Much colder," said Juanma with a grin,

"OK then I'll stay here in the sun".

She pulled Juanma down to her and he winced once. "Juanma what do you have."

"The water was so cold I think I was too tense." "But you already had that yesterday"

"Already a few days, but only for a short time." Zoe looked at him carefully. Juanma had laid down next to her and was warming up against her.

They heard the others romp through the water and Juanma said, "It was a great idea to come here today."

Mia and Alvaro had withdrawn a little apart from the others and  had seen that Clara was in good hands with Roberto.

Mia sat on a ledge in the water and Alvaro was standing in front of her, his arms around her waist and Mia resting her head on his shoulder. Alvaro was warm despite the cold water while MIa slowly started to freeze.

"You get on well with Clara, don't you" asked Alvaro.

"Yes, I was stupid to reject her like that at the beginning, but I was afraid that she would take you away from me."

"It's actually nice that you're afraid of losing me," laughed Alvaro, "but you don't need to be afraid."

"I love you," said Mia. "I think that's normal"

Alvaro tickled her a little and MIa had to laugh. "I love you too," he said. "I keep thinking about Lupe's behavior," he said.

"I know but I think she won't do it again."

"Yeah, but what if it had fallen. I'm not sure if I should talk to Mama and Ramiro about it."

"I think if then with Ramiro. Don't be angry with me, but with Mercedes I'm not sure that she would understand."

"She always does such things with Juanma".

"Yes, because she hopes to get him back that way. I think she was interested in Roberto for a time, but he has Clara now."

"That wouldn't have worked anyway," said Alvaro.

"Roberto and Lupe don't fit together at all"

Zoe, too  had started the subject with Lupe all over again. But Juanma had tried to block it because he didn't want to think about it anymore.

After a while Alvaro and Mia came too, because Mia had also started to freeze in the water. Alvaro and Juanma had a few drinks in their backpacks and had taken a few rolls with them.
