The next morning, when the girls were tidying up the kitchen with Florencia, Alvaro said to Juanma. "Thanks for comforting her"

"No problem," said Juanma.

"I couldn't have done it. I'm ..."

"She knows. She guesses what you're feeling."

"I don't want to burden her. But I really can't help it."

Juanma nodded. "She's worried about you. And she's sad because she can't help you."

"She helps me. Just because she is there."

Alvaro suggested Mia take a walk when the girls finished. She nodded and Alvaro and they set off hand in hand. "Mia, I'm sorry that I made you sad yesterday."

"I wasn't sad. Yes, I was, but I just worry. Our relationship is ruining your family. And that worries me."

"I know that. But my family will have to get used to it. If I have to choose, my decision will be made on you." Mia's eyes filled with tears again.

" You had doubts?" Alvaro asked while he took her in his arms. Mia shrugged." I didn't ask myself that question, but I'm kind of overwhelmed anyway. "

Mia's cell phone rang. The display showed Gaspar's name. Mia gave Alvaro a questioning look before taking the call. "hey Mia, are you okay?" Said Gaspar. "Sure, how are you."

"Good, but Mia, why am I calling, is Alvaro at home?"

"No, he's here with me, would you like to speak to him?"

"Yes, please give him to me briefly." With a more questioning look, Mia handed her cell phone to Alvaro. "Hey Gaspar what's up?"

"Do you have an idea where Lupe is? We had an appointment at the cafe half an hour ago. She's not here yet, doesn't answer her cell phone and nobody answers at home either."

Mia had overheard and looked at Alvaro. "I wanted to drive past now, but maybe I didn't want to disturb either, that's why I thought I'd ask you beforehand"

"No Gaspar .. I don't know, I haven't been home for two days. I'll take care of it and drive over at home. Mia will send you my number, get in touch if you hear something and send me your number." His hand shook slightly as he handed the phone back to Mia. "You listened, didn't you? We have to go back."

He dials Lupes number, but only reaches the mailbox. His mother didn't answer either. They ran back to Juanma's house, where Juanma and Zoe were sitting outside. "I have to drive over at home, Gaspar is not reaching  Lupe and they had an appointment. The last time she was online hours ago" he said and ran up to get the car key.

"Should I go with you?" Asked Juanma, looking at Mia, who did not want to make the offer. "Gladly" said Alvaro and he gave Mia another kiss and the two went off.

"What has she done now," said Zoe with a slightly annoyed undertone. "Hopefully nothing happened," Mia said.

Alvar and Juanma were both silent on the way. Juanma knew there would be no right words. When they got to Alvaro's house. Alvro unlocked the door. "Mom? Lupe?" No Answer.

"You look upstairs," said Juanma, while walking through the rooms on the first floor. He heard Alvaro walking through the rooms upstairs, opening and closing doors. Juanma wanted to open the patio door and the alarm went off. Alvaro came running down the stairs and entered a code in the system and it was quiet again. "Sorry, I only deactivated the one at the front door. Nobody is upstairs." Together they went into the garden. Everything was normal there too and nobody was to be found.

"Did you look to see if anything was missing, if either of them packed something?" Alvaro went back to Lupe's room with Juanma. He couldn't tell that anything was packed, but Lupe had so many things that it was hard to tell. Juanma pointed to the bedside table. The cell phone charging cable was plugged in and still there. "Maybe they go on a trip. Mother Daughter Day," said Juanma. Alvaro looked at him doubtfully. "We're going to panic for free now. Nothing looks weird here. They're both just not there." Juanma said

"But Lupe lives on her cell phone. Have you ever seen her not be online for an hour? And my mother usually has the cell phone with her too."

Juanma nodded. "You are right. What now." Alvaro first considered calling Javier. But he couldn't imagine that Lupe and certainly not Mercedes had gone there and didn't want to upset him uselessly. Ramiro wasn't there.

Alvaro sat on a chair for a moment. He dialed Ago's number. She answered promptly and said "Hey Alvaro, if you want to speak to Martin ...." No Agos, I wanted to ask you if you have heard anything from Lupe in the last few hours. "

" From Lupe? No yesterday the last time. Why. "
