Florencia was there very quickly too, she had brought Zoe and Mia with her and took the three of them straight into her arms. "Are you okay? "She asked. All three of them nodded." I'll go in with you, "said Alvaro and walked towards the house with Florencia.

Mercedes was still sitting on the couch where she'd left them. When she saw Florencia, she said "Flor, it's nice that you are here" she got up and took Florencia in her arms.

Florencia glanced at Alvaro and nodded. He said "bye mum" and left the house. In the meantime Gaspar had arrived.

"Shall we all go have a drink?" He asked and the others nodded. Zoe and Mia exchanged a look. Gaspar knew a nice little bar in which they could all be seated. At first there was a strange mood because nobody knew what to say. After a while Gaspar said "You have a gig next week?" and looked at Mia. Mia nodded "On Saturday"

"That's great, I'll have a gig there too. That's why Charlie couldn't send us together."

Mia was leaning against Alvaro. Lupe was very quiet, but it seemed to be slowly recovering.

"If you want you can come to me tonight," said Gaspar. "You get the bed too," he said and everyone had to laugh.

Lupe nodded. "I have to clear this up with my mother." "

Better do that while my mother is still there," said Juanma. "Shall we call her together?" Lupe nodded. Juanma and Lupe left the bar to talk on the phone. "Can someone tell me briefly what exactly happened?" asked Gaspar. Alvaro told Gaspar as briefly as possible what had happened. Gaspar looked at him. Juanma and Lupe came back. "I may," said Lupe and Juanma added, "My mother said Mercedes was slowly calming down. She cried, but also talked a lot. Maybe my mother will manage to break through the wall."

"I hope so," said Alvaro. Mia looked at him and gripped his hand tighter.

"I wanted to thank you for being there. Thank you Juanma for your support, especially in the last few days. Without you all, I think Lupe and I wouldn't be able to do all of this."

"Always there for you, Captain You know one for the team, the team for one" Everyone laughed a little and clinked glasses.

They sat there a little longer until Alvaro said "Shall we go over to you?" he looked at Juanma.

Juanma nodded. They said goodbye to Gaspar and Lupe, Alvaro thanked Gaspar again and took Lupe a little to one side. "Report if something will be,  ok? You will be with Ramiro from tomorrow evening?"

"No actually Monday morning, he wanted to pick me up."

"OK, "said Alvaro." I'll call him later or tomorrow. "He gave his sister another squeeze and then they drove off.

Alvaro drove the car to the hill with the beautiful view. "Is that ok? I still need some nice view and some fresh air," he said with a smile. The others nodded and Juanma said "Are you now saying that our garden hedge is not a nice view?"

"We'll put in a chain of lights, then you'll have lots of little lights like over the city," said Zoe.

The mood lifted. Mia noticed that Alvaro was relaxing more and more.

"I hope we haven't spoiled your mother's evening too much." said Alvaro to Juanma.

"Oh well, after my father's death Mercedes was there for her a lot and often with us. She likes to do that," Alvaro nodded. He remembered the time and he hated it because he didn't like Juanma. He wiped the thought away. That was a long time ago and luckily it was over.

Zoe pulled Juanma a little away from Alvaro and Mia. Her soul was burning. "Was Lupe very happy that you came with Alvaro?"

"Not more than Gaspar was happy that you were there today," said Juanma quick-witted and with a smile. Zoe didn't say anything. Juanma carefully held Zoe's head and laid his forehead against hers. "Zoe, I was only there to support Alvaro. And yes Lupe and I have a past. But my heart only belongs to you."

Zoe nodded and kissed him. "Sorry, the question was stupid from me." Juanma shook his head. "No, I can somehow understand it and actually it's a nice feeling that you care. But Lupe doesn't change my feelings about you."

Zoe took him in her arms. She was now very comfortable with Juanma, the once selfish, conceited basketball player. She had to grin. "What are you thinking about?"

"That I never understood Mia what she saw in you before. She liked you from the beginning and I always wondered what was wrong with her." Juanma had to laugh. "I sometimes didn't like myself back then."

Mia and Alvaro had both looked at the lights at first. Then Mia said "How are you?" "Better. Lupe is in good hands, isn't she? And Florencia with Mama. And maybe everything will calm down someday.
