Mia saw the boys come back. Clara was sitting with her back to them, so she didn't see them yet. "Clara, I just give you one piece of advice. Don't throw Roberto away. At least not, as long as you feel something for him. If you don't, just be honest with him, no matter what happens with Luis."

Mia nodded. "But I can't talk to him now." she said.

"Maybe you will get a faster chance than you think." said Zoe, looking over Clara's shoulder. Clara turned and saw the boys come to the table.

She looked at Zoe and Mia, who both had to laugh, and said "that was planned, wasn't it?" "Half" said Mia. "We didn't know what you were saying. But I'll tell you, talk to him".

The boys had come to the table, Roberto stopped by Clara. "Let's go a bit," he asked with a sad undertone. Clara nodded.

When they were out of earshot, Zoe said, "She's just as torn as you were back then, you can say what you want."

Mia shrugged. "Maybe Roberto is talking to her openly now. Maybe it will help."

When they were out of earshot of the others, Clara said, "Will you explain to me what the problem is now?"

"Imagine I'm with Lupe all the time. Or pick one of the girls and imagine she's single. I dance with her, laugh with her, talk to or about her all the time. What would you feel. "

Clara said nothing. "Just think about it, Clara, what would you be thinking about?"

"I only dance with Luis. And I'm nice to him because he's new. Mia and Juanma dance together too."

"It's not about Mia and Juanma, it's about both of us."

"But you don't have to be surprised that I'm talking to him when you keep getting quieter."

"Have you ever asked yourself why I am becoming quieter? Wouldn't you, conversely, wish that I would ask you why you are becoming quieter?"

Clara looked at the floor and Roberto saw that her eyes were full of tears. He took a deep breath and resisted the feeling of taking her in his arms. "Clara, if you have other feelings, just tell me. Then I'll be fine. But if you love me and want our relationship to continue, then I ask you not to make me feel like I'm just your appendage. Dance with Luis, talk to him, that's all ok. But right now with you I have the feeling that you are only with me because that's the way it should be, but not because you want it. And that hurts me so much right now, that I would like to exchange the cigarette for something else. "

He paused. He hadn't wanted to put her under pressure, it had just slipped out of his flow of speech. "I didn't mean to say sorry, but it just hurts me so much".

Clara wiped a tear from her cheek. He carefully took her chin and made her look at him. "I love you. And I mean that seriously and honestly."

He carefully wiped away the next tear. Then he couldn't help but take her in his arms. "I love you too," said Clara, barely understandable. "But I don't know how to behave properly. I just know I need you near me tomorrow. "

Roberto thought for a moment. "Ok, I'll be with you tomorrow, promise. And we'll try to work on it?"

Clara nodded. "I don't want anything from Luis. Really. He's just nice and I like him as much as I like the other guys."

Roberto nodded. He would try to get over his doubts and worries and talk more to Clara or even to Juanma and Alvaro.

"Will you promise me something?" Said Clara softly.

" What?" asked Roberto.

"That you don't exchange the cigarette for something else".

"I promise," said Roberto and hugged her.

When the two came back to the others, Mia and Zoe took them both in their arms.

"Oh yes, a young love, how nice it must be" said Juanma grinning and Zoe slapped him on the shoulder. Everyone laughed. They ordered another drink and tried to calm Clara down about the competition the next day. Mia was almost sorry that they had decided not to go.

They paid and the four drove back to Ramiro, Clara and Roberto back to  school.

"I hope it doesn't escalate again when we're at the workshop next week," said Juanma.

"We should still keep an eye on Clara and Luis. Clara is so damn insecure and Luis makes a calculating impression on me. That's what I thought of Clara, too, at the beginning, but she is just like a puppy."

"Hopefully you  keep us , as we are staying at home, up to date," said Zoe grinning. Mia had to laugh. "Sure. And you have to help Roberto. Later we'll talk about who had the harder job." The four laughed.
