Mia woke up just before the others. She carefully woke Alvaro and snuggled up against him. "I could get used to being woken up like this," he said quietly, half asleep, and put his arm around her. They had a few minutes left. Mia enjoyed waking up in his arms. They heard that Juanma was moving too. Mia straightened up. " how are you?" she asked him. Juanma nodded and said "so far good."

They were getting ready for breakfast and suddenly the door opened and Zoe came in.

She greeted everyone and took Juanma in her arms. Juanma literally clung to her. Mia heard Zoe whisper "I'm so sorry." Mia looked at Alvaro and nodded towards the door. They went to the cafeteria.

Zoe pushed Juanma away from her a little. She saw that he had tears in his eyes and that he wanted to take her in his arms again. "I missed you so much," he said.

"I'm sorry, I really tried to persuade my parents, but I have no idea what was wrong with them, they said your family needs rest and peace now"

"It's okay," said Juanma. "You are there that counts," he added.

"We have to have breakfast," said Zoe. " Is that OK?" Juanma nodded. They also went to the cafeteria and Zoe was greeted by everyone. "have you prepared for the English test" asked Clara. "Yes in the car this morning," Zoe said with a smile.

They got through the school day well. Rehearsals took place in the Go and Clara and Luis had agreed to rehearse again in the afternoon. Zoe and Alvaro wanted to go to the hospital with Juanma. Mia had a date with Ramiro.

The three drove off. Juanma had decided to get a few more things from home and then they were in front of the intensive care unit. Zoe could hear the devices and backed away. A nurse came up and said "who do you want to go to?"

JUanma gave his mother's name. "But only for a while," said the nurse and looked at the three. "You can get in"

Zoe stood rooted to the spot while Juanma was already through the door. "Is anyone else going?" Asked the nurse.

"I" said Alvaro, looking at Zoe. They were led back to Florencia's bed and Juanma took her hand. Alvaro looked briefly at the monitor. "Has her condition changed," he asked the nurse, who had already turned to leave. "No, everything unchanged, we have to do another CT."

Juanma spoke softly to his mother. Alvaro was standing behind him and had a hand on his shoulder. Florencia looked like she was sleeping. Suddenly she convulsed and the monitor began to beep. Juanma was startled and jumped up. Alvaro could see that the blood pressure rose and the oxygen saturation fell. When he wanted to get help, a doctor was already standing in front of him "You have to get out for a moment", she checked various things and held Florencia until she was calm again. "We need a CT! Now!" She shouted. Juanma and Alvaro took a step back. "I'll bring her down," called the nurse from before.

Alvaro and Juanma were standing in the hall when Florencia was pushed past. Another young nurse came up to them and said, "Sit down for a moment. That must have been a shock." Juanma nodded. "You can wait a bit, I don't think it will take that long."

"Let's go out to Zoe," said Alvaro. "Zoe had seen everything. She took Juanma in her arms and said," I couldn't go in there. It reminded me of everything when I ... "Juanma nodded." It's okay, "he said.

It took a while. Everyone was lost in thought. When a nurse came up with  Florencia, Juanma opened up. "What's the matter with her," he said.

"A doctor will be with you in a moment," she said. He and Alvaro followed her and watched the nurse  took away  the portable monitor and  reconnected her to her monitor. All values looked good for Alvaro.

After a moment a doctor came. "Hello you two," he said very kindly. "Please sit down for a moment." The two sat down and ALvaro said "I can go out if ..." Looking at Juanma, the doctor said "If that's okay with him, you can stay" Juanma nodded. "Well," said the doctor. "The CT has improved, the swelling has gone down. We have stabilized all the values. We can only continue to observe her for the moment. But I want to be honest. We don't know what to expect when she wakes up."

"The cramp, where did it come from?" asked Alvaro.

"Unfortunately, we don't know. Unfortunately, the human brain is still full of surprises, we have not found any explainable cause in the CT. We still have to wait for blood tests. She is stable," he said. When both were silent, he said "Do you have any questions?" They both shook their heads. "If something changes, I'll let you know immediately. I have a cell phone number here," he looked at the data. "This is mine," said Juanma softly.

"Ok, thank you. Try not to worry too much. We will do everything in our power. Will your father come sometime?"

Juanma's eyes darkened. "His father died some time ago," said Alvaro. The doctor raised an eyebrow, then nodded. "We'll do everything we can," he said again and put his hand on Juanma's arm. "Call me whenever you want," he added and pushed a card with his phone number across the table to Juanma.
