When the boys entered the room, both sides avoided the subject. Zoe talked about the vacation and how much she was looking forward to.

Alvaro was too restless. "Mia, would you like to go for a walk?" He asked. MIa nodded and the two left the room. Alvaro led them their usual way to the park.

" Is everything alright with you?" Mia asked him. He nodded, but avoided eye contact. Mia held him tight and made him look at her. " What do you have?" she asked.

"I've already talked to Juanma about it .. I would really be happy for Isabel and Ramiro if they were together. But a relationship between the two ..."

"... would mean the end of the marriage between Ramiro and Mercedes. I've already thought about it." She took him in her arms.

"You know, the marriage is broken anyway. But Ramiro, he always managed to appease my mother. Since he's no longer at home, it's getting worse and Lupe starts the same way. My whole family is breaking up in front of my eyes and I can do nothing about it. "

"Alvaro, I know that you will never lose Ramiro. And neither w Javier."

"But it's not the same anymore," said Alvaro.

"I know that, of course." Mia said. "It will be something new."

"And Lupe?"

"Yes, I fear that. Your reaction is unpredictable."said Mia

"Yes, but even Lupe doesn't just do it out of spite. She is disturbed and confused."

Mia nodded. Despite everything, Lupe was Alvaro's sister. She could understand his desperation, and her fear of Lupe was nothing against it. Alvaro had grown up in a largely perfect family. Even when Ramiro wasn't his father, he always treated Alvaro like his son.

She didn't know what to say. At the moment Mia had no choice but to take Alvaro in her arms. He gladly accepted the hug.

"You know who I don't want to lose yet" asked Alvaro. Mia looked at him and at the same moment he said "You Mia. I just wouldn't be able to survive being apart from you for more than a few hours and I don't even want to think about losing you"

Mia gave him a tight squeeze. "You won't lose me Alvaro. And we will get through it no matter what, side by side ok? Now let's enjoy the vacation"

He pulled away from her and smiled at her. "I'm sure you're really excited to have Isabel with you, aren't you?"

"Yes, we haven't been on vacation together for a long time. I often miss her." she said.

"I know. We never really talked about it, but somehow I always knew it. And I think she would be a great partner for Ramiro," said Alvaro. "You know, I'm really happy for him."

"What did Juanma say about that?" Alvaro told Mia what Juanma had said on the subject and also that they would all be at his side.

"We hold together Alvaro. You know that" Alvaro nodded and held Mia tight. It had done him good to talk to her, to have her close. The conversation with Juanma had also done him very good. He knew that his friends were behind him, especially Mia, of course. He took another deep breath. He was happy for Mia that she could spend time with Isabel and of course it was nice when Ramiro is not alone.

They went back to school because it was getting late. In front of the door, Alvaro gave Mia another hug. "Thank you," he said.

" For what?" Mia asked.

"That you are there, that you exist and that we can talk about everything. It was good to share my thoughts with you and now everything doesn't seem so bad to me:" Mia put her arms around her arms more tightly his neck and snuggled up against him.

"It's the other way around," she said softly.

When they entered the room, Zoe was already asleep and Juanma carefully sat up. He could see that Alvaro didn't look quite so worried anymore. " Everything OK?" asked he. Mia and Alvaro nodded.

They snuggled into Mia's bed. It was only when Alvaro was lying down that he realized how exhausted he really was. He took Mia in his arms and inhaled her scent. He fell asleep quickly. Mia was awake for a while. She thought about whether Isabel would stay in Argentina for Ramiro. Then she wouldn't be so far away anymore. Isabel had always been the most important person in her life and Mia loved her dearly.

She noticed that Juanma got up and crept to her bed. He sat down in front of her and asked "Is Alvaro ok?"

"Yeah, well, he's worried, but I think that's normal. He told me you were talking."

"He is always there for everyone and especially us here," said Juanma. "Don't worry too much and sleep well," he added quietly.

Mia nodded, briefly squeezed his hand and closed her eyes.
