Isn't It Obvious?

After several hours the team finally landed on Sakaar. Tony agreed to let you on comms with Banner back at the compound so you can see and hear everything that's going on during the mission.

"Okay Loki. We're here." Steve shuts off the jet and they all stand from their seats. Loki chuckles and looks at everyone with a smirk. "Oh I'm not going back there."

Everyone but Bucky stands there in disbelief but Bucky. And you. You knew something was up and you weren't surprised. "What do you mean you're not going back there? We're here." Bucky says annoyed.

"I told you." Apparently Clint wasn't surprised either. He had called it. "Guys what's going on?" You say into your mic. They can all hear you except Loki who wasn't given an earpiece.

"It seems Mr. Loki doesn't want to go back to Sakaar." Vision clarifies for you. "What? Why?" You had already known he didn't want to go back by his previous statement but now you just wanted answers.

"You can hear y/n. Obviously he hasn't said." Sam rudely said to you over comms. Bucky and Steve shot daggers at him and Bucky clenched his jaw. "Hey!" He shouts. Then changes his tone trying to sound as calm as he can. "You do not need to be rude about it Sam."

Sam breaks into a smirk. He was just trying to mess with Bucky as usual and Bucky, being the overprotective man he is, fed into it. "Oh look." Sam chuckles. "You're protecting your girlfriend. How sweet."

Steve looks at him and shakes his head. He doesn't like the joke either. Another overprotective man. But it was sweet seeing them both care so much. "Sam stop it." He says sternly. 

Stark clears his throat and glares at the three men. "Did you idiots forget we were on a mission?" Nat focuses back to their current problem once Tony stops glaring ash everyone. "Loki what's wrong? Why don't you want to go back to Sakaar?"

"Because he's a psychopath." Bucky scoffs. "James!" You scold. There was no need to be rude just yet, you didn't know why he didn't want to go back. Maybe it was an understandable reason. 

But they knew Loki better than you. You had read his file but seeing him so calm and quiet now you couldn't believe the person who demolished New York and the one here, are the same people. 

"Oh shit. She used your given name." Sam giggles like a school boy who had just heard someone serve the sickest roast. Sam was truly a kid at heart. He was funny. You two would get along.

"Shut up Birdie." Thor chimes in. "Brother, are you going to tell us?" He turns his attention to Loki who stands there calmly. "Isn't it obvious?" 

His tone was so nonchalant. He obis was playing at something here. You just didn't know what. Nobody did. Wanda is the next to question him. "Isn't what obvious Loki?" 

He chuckles to himself before looking at Bucky and Steve. Looking them both dead in the eyes as he spoke slowly. Calmly. Like he was so sure of himself. Like there was no reason anybody should doubt him.

"Y/n is my soulmate."
