"What? What do you mean you don't want it to be Steve's? I thought you all said DNA doesn't matter?" Nat asks you. She's obviously angry with what you had just said and you honesty didn't mean for it to come out the way it did but it was too late now.

"I love Steve and I love Bucky, more than anything. When they're hurting, I hurt. I can't handle them hurting anymore. It's killing me. The look on Bucky's face when Steve told him the baby wasn't his...Nat, he's never going to recover no matter how hard we all try to move past it and continue on with our lives." You tell her. "That still doesn't-" she starts.

"I know. Let me finish. I want the baby back Steve and I lost, obviously I can't get it back yet, I have to have this baby first, I just...no matter how much we say that the DNA of our children don't matter, now it does. Because of what Steve said. I want to give Bucky another baby before suffocating him with the baby Steve very bluntly said is not his." You explain to nat.

"Y/n I get all that. But you don't get to chose. And that's not right. Steve is your husband too. You're acting like you're just married to Bucky right now." She says. "No I'm not. And I know I don't get to chose, this baby is either gonna be Bucky's or Steve's there is no changing that. I will love my child either way, but if it's Steve's...I know it'll kill Bucky inside. He's lost so much. Steve...it's not the same with them anymore. I want to give him a baby. I want to give him the world. I already have a baby that's Steve's that we're bringing back I just..." you start crying and Nat just sits and looks at you. Not doing anything.

"If you hate Steve so much then get a divorce. Stop stringing him along." Nat says. You look up at her shocked. "I'm not stringing him along Nat. I love him I don't want to divorce him. Why would you say that? I want his kids but Bucky deserves a win. He feels like our kids aren't his. He has so much self doubt and Steve doesn't. He's drowning and all I want to do is help him but he pretends he's not." You say.

"You're so selfish. Honestly. You don't deserve either of them, especially not Steve-" Nat starts but she doesn't finish before Steve and Bucky come out into the living room. "Nat, I think you need to leave." Steve says to her. "What're you two doing? Where are the boys?" You ask. "First we heard you crying, then we heard Nat raise her voice and we heard this when we came out of the room." Bucky says.

"I will leave, gladly. But just so you know, she's pregnant and she said she hopes it's not your baby Steve." She says before leaving and slamming the front door behind her. You feel your heart shatter and you look to Steve who looks like someone just ripped his right out of his chest.
