Close Your Eyes

"I can't promise she won't get hurt. And I know that's not what you want to hear, but I also know you want to hear the truth. That's it."

"Then she's not doing it." Bucky simply states. "I'll do it." They all look at you, not expecting you to have said that. "Let's just get it over with."

"Sweetheart you don't have to. If they work that's great. If not, you could get hurt. That is the last thing any of us want."

"But it's better if I try it while I'm isolated. If not I could hurt more than just myself. And that's the last thing I want. I'd rather die that hurt any of you."

"You're not gonna hurt any of us doll." They each grab a hand and hold it. "I've made my decision, can we just get this over with?"

Tony nods his head. "Meet me in the bunker in 30 minutes. Bruce and I are gonna finish setting up."

You walk into the bunker with Steve and Bucky. Neither of them had let go of your hands since Tony asked you to test your powers earlier.

You didn't want them to let go. You were scared. Rightfully so. You hated using your powers and now even more than usual because you didn't know if they'd work properly.

"It's gonna be okay." Bucky whispers and kisses your temple. "Yea. Let's just do this." They look at you and nod, finally letting go of your hands.

They go to walk away but you stop them. "Hey." They look at you. "Kisses." They both smile and walk back to you. Steve kisses you first. Then Bucky.

"I'm getting more kisses when we're don't here." You smile as they leave the room. Now you're alone. You look the the monitor in the corner of the room. "Tell me what to do Tony."

"Close your eyes. And Focus. Try to make it snow. That's all you need to do. We're not going for a snow castle or anything extravagant. Just make it snow."

You close your eyes and try to focus on what you're doing. You think about the cold. About snow. You imagine the bunker you're in right now, snow falling.

"I can't do it." You say opening your eyes. "Listen doll. You can do it. Close your eyes. Listen to my voice. Concentrate on me." You close your eyes again. "Okay."

"I want you to visualize this with me okay? It's winter. You're outside and there's snow all around you. You feel the wind hitting your cheeks."

"You put your hands out and close your eyes, feeling the breeze on you, the cold air. You like the cold. The colds never been something that bothered you."

"You feel cool droplets on your face. When you open your eyes, you're looking up to the sky and snow is falling...open your eyes doll."
