Suspicions

"We're going on a mission?" You finally listen to Tony and everyone else does too. "Oh no. Not you." He says.

"New recruits normally sit out the first mission." Vision politely explains further. Steve chimes in. "They want you to watch to get an idea of how we work together."

You laugh at how serious he is. He's being so sweet trying to make sure you know theres a good explanation behind you sitting out. "I get it. It's okay. I'm actually glad I get to watch the first one."

"I didn't have to sit out my first mission." Bucky. Always so protective. You giggle and reach for his flesh hand squeezing it. "Bucky seriously I don't mind. I'll just see you both when you get back. What's the mission anyway?"

"Not a real mission actually. We're taking Loki back to Sakaar. I told you he was going back to Asgard but I forgot it's in flames." Tony was always so blunt and to the point. But you didn't mind. You aways got a straight answer from him. "Oh. Well okay. That shouldn't be too bad." 

"Unless he decides he doesn't wanna go back... then we're screwed." Clint. You hadn't spoken to him much since you got here but you liked him. He was nice and you felt like if you really needed to, you could talk to him about anything.

What he said stuck in your mind though, then the kid spoke up. "You know I don't get to go either. Mr. Stark never lets me on missions." This was the most confident you've ever seen Peter. He was such a shy kid.

"Within good reason spider kid. Anyways...it was nice meeting you Darling but I am in fact going back to Sakaar." Loki speaks. HE always has a cocky grin on his face. Worse than Sam's. Like he's always up to something. He was the god of Mischief after all. And it didn't sit right with you."

"It was nice meeting you too. Have a safe trip." You respond hiding your suspicions. "Bye y/n." Steve says as he pulls you in for a hug. You squeeze him tight before pulling away and hugging Bucky. "Bye doll."

You pull them both close and whisper between them, "I don't have a good feeling about this, be careful, okay?" Steve smiles and looks at Bucky. His voice loud enough for only you three to hear. "Aww look, our girl cares about us."

"I think it's adorable." Bucky smirks at you. You whack Steve's arm playfully yet give him a serious look. "Yes Captain obvious I care about you. So please...be careful."

Steve kisses your forehead and smiles down at you softly. "We will. I promise." You nod and feel more relieved. "You better Captain." You look at Bucky. "Sergeant Barnes. You too." Bucky places a soft kiss on your cheek.

"Okay fine. And I hate it when you call me that." Bullshit. "Lies. You love it. Now go my boys." You back away from them and face everyone. "Be safe guys. I'll see you when you get back."
