You were laying on a table strapped down as he took your powers from you. It was the only way you could prove to him that you had been truly in with him and you weren't undercover, even though you were, but this was the mission. So you let him. And it had been one of the worst decisions you had ever made.

"He what?" Steve says angrily. Angry at everything the Joker has done to you. Everything he put you through. He squeezes your hand tighter, comforting you but also out of reflex, his muscles tightening at his anger. "He strapped me to a table and he took my powers."

"H-how?" Bucky asks. "I don't know. He put me to sleep. I tired to use them, especially when he...he was-" You sniffle and try not to start crying again. "You don't have to finish honey, we know."

"I tried to use them but they didn't work. They're gone. I know it's probably for the best, I always wanted to get rid of my powers, but on my terms. Especially after finding the two of you, because I didn't want to somehow hurt you with them like I did my ex..."

"Sweetheart, it's okay to be upset about it. Your powers were taken from you. They had been a part of you since you were born, and now it's gone." You nod at Steve's words. He was right.

"Look at me babydoll." You look over at Bucky. "You have been through so much. You've told us all of it, which is a good start. You opened up. You are healing. And it is okay to be upset, grieving is a part of heeling."

"You sound so wise." Steve chuckles nudging Bucky. You all laugh and you wipe your tears, both of them hugging you. "Yea, he does. And he's right. You both help me so much, you have no idea."

"We have some idea. Because you've helped us too. We've realized a lot because of you." Bucky says looking at Steve smiling. "Yes we have." Steve says. "Oooh. Is this part of your news?" You smile.

"It is part of our news." Bucky bites his lip shyly and looks at Steve. They keep making these eyes at one another and you pretty much know what their news is. They figured out what they are to each other. "So tell me what it is."
